I've had a few bad fevers, and the physical and mental confusion connected with them can be nearly intolerable.
Perhaps there is a perception that elevated body temperature is causing those symptoms. But that is unlikely to be true.
Those symptoms are more likely caused by the toxins being released by the disease agent. Anything that will assist the body to rid itself of those toxins should assist recovery. My personal favorite is Vitamin C.
I can attest from experience that sweating is important to keeping the body relatively detoxified. I felt much better when I lived a life that enabled me to sweat profusely at least 2 or 3 times a week.
30 years later I am trying to duplicate that sweat level. But it is difficult because the toxins stored in body fat get released and tend to make me feel sick. Moral: Don't let successful actions fall out!
