that tells about the rise in suicides in Japan, including the dairy farmer who hung himself. [Link]. It was amazingly easy to find via search engines...
Carble clearly has a severe lack of empathy issue, and thus struggles to be a member of the human race. Carble believes it is cool and critical to dismiss the passionate frustration of a human being who has just had a wakeup call caused by being in proximity to the suffering of the so called 'other' (those supposedly defined as being of a different socio or racial group to oneself) and realises that their suffering is really our suffering waiting to happen; their child's likely illness/death is the death of all our children; that the poor, desperate farmer hanging himself is actually your brother, my cousin, your uncle, my father, your lover, finding themselves believing they have nowhere else to go and doing the very same before too long. I have nothing but respect for this passionate Frenchman's desire to express and convey the connection he feels with the suffering of the Japanese people and to pass this 'wake up' call to his own countrymen and women. We are all one human family; our enemy is not the so called ‘other’ but rather the evil now within the walls of Troy, i.e. within our world, our species, our family, all of us! The belly of the horse has opened in the night; the psychopaths have been released and are afoot, running rampage through the streets, killing, looting destroying the sacred city; our bodies, our minds, our societies, our species (and as a bi product, the millions of other species with whom we share IN TRUST this planet with). These psychopathic hybrids, these alien invaders, these beasts, are right now burning, looting, destroying our global family and are hell bent upon seeing it through to their final victory over us all. Carble is likely no more than a knowing or unknowing foot soldier; a grunt with no brain but already culturally conditioned to sneer, to hate, to vomit forth contempt upon the most sacred spirit of humanity - consciousness. See him (I assume) for what he is – a valuable lesson in how the destiny of our species is currently being defined by those who get what being a human being is all about, and those who don’t.
We need to burn the flags, ditch the nationalities, rid ourselves of maps and uniforms, and unite, as one species, against this cancer within our own walls. It is us souled humans against the beast. Period.
the trap of the Chinese whisper! I have just noticed I referred to the poster as 'Carble' as did others above when in fact the poster is 'Carbie'. A valuable personal lesson. Beware leaping without first properly looking and even looking again! I will try and learn this one for myself.
I saw the transposed spelling and thought, "Ah, people are subconsciously reading his name *correctly*. It looks like, "Garble", which I thought described the nature of his message quite accurately.
My thought, though, is that the French video-maker was angry in a way which seemed slightly hysterical. This would fit with the current trend of people who are not actively working on themselves to feel a bit crazy with the quickening of the globe and this area of space as the Wave approaches in earnest.
Without working hard to maintain a good diet, do EE, get good sleep, exercise, and perform a lot of busting of internal negative and paradoxical programs, I'd be feeling more than a little crazy as well. I can feel the energy level increasing all over the place.
I hope this man is able to get over his anger and not self-destruct as the psychological environment continues to heat up.
Woodsman: "My thought, though, is that the French video-maker was angry in a way which seemed slightly hysterical. I didn't get the impression he was hysterical (I'm French BTW). Hysteria's not the same as justified anger. Doing EE, the diet or "working on the self" should not prevent one from having such emotions, like reacting to injustice and pathology - on the contrary, it should amplify it. This man feels empathy. He's filled with righteous anger in the face of injustice and at the perspective that millions are going to die of diseases due to Fukushima's aftermath. 30 000 children, in Japan, are gonna go to school equipped with dosimeters, so that their parents can check their level of radioactivity every night, and in the meantime the media and elite say "everything's gonna be alright". Wouldn't it make anyone angry? By making these videos, he's informing people. He's not uselessly ranting.
I said, "*slightly* hysterical." Why did you fail to perceive that modifier and respond as though it were not there? That's kind of interesting, don't you think?
In any case, justified or not, his response struck me as being a bit raw around the edges in a manner I've seen a lot of lately.
I've noted people going off with more zest and fire on all manner of subject than normal, all 'justifiable' I suppose, but all with an overtone of mania in a straw-which-broke-the-camel's-back kind of way. In fact, only a few hours ago, I watched a normally sane friend blow up during dinner over a fairly benign discussion, surprising all present. A day earlier, I heard from outside the apartment my girlfriend completely lose it and scream at the cat over some trivial matter. This was unusual. I can count a half dozen such incidents with a half a dozen different people, all technically justifiable given the stimulus, and yet. . , all with the volume turned up well past the range I'd normally expect. This video maker had the same kind of tone in his voice.
I may be wrong, but that's the cluster pattern I've been seeing over the past couple of weeks.
"'Identifying' is one of our most terrible foes because it penetrates everywhere and deceives a man at the moment when it seems to him that he is struggling with it. It is especially difficult to free oneself from identifying because a man naturally becomes more easily identified with the things that interest him most, to which he gives his time, his work, and his attention. In order to free himself from identifying a man must be constantly on guard and be merciless with himself, that is, he must not be afraid of seeing all the subtle and hidden forms which identifying takes.
"It is necessary to see and to study identifying to its very roots in oneself. The difficulty of struggling with identifying is still further increased by the fact that when people observe it in themselves they consider it a very good trait and call it 'enthusiasm,' 'zeal,' 'passion,' 'spontaneity,' 'inspiration,' and names of that kind, and they consider that only in a state of identifying can a man really produce good work, no matter in what sphere. In reality of course this is illusion. Man cannot do anything sensible when he is in a state of identifying. If people could see what the state of identifying means they would alter their opinion." - G.I. Gurdjieff
Both Woodsman and Highland Fleet are making valuable observations. Empathy, passion, outrage, identification, may have roots in something valid and important but we should also be wary of emotional responses which over power our capacity for objectivity; even the most high seeming may be nooses by which we can be strung up. The self is very capable of convincing itself that such feelings are worthy when indeed they may well be symptoms of self-delusional and subjective existence by which we can be controlled, limited and eventually betrayed (how many people mistake 'love' for 'need'... about 100% say!) Equally, however, the absence of emotional capacity regularly leads to disconnection, extreme left brain bias and an authoritarian mindset. Balance in all is what we should seek, something that will become increasing difficult to maintain under current circumstances without rigorous self-disciple and awareness. Woodsman may be onto something when he suggests an increasing tendency towards hysteria and excess as the planet’s environment changes and ‘opens up’ over the coming months. Correct diet and meditation via EE, etc. are indeed vital supports at this time; as for busting negative and paradoxical programmes... there lies the daily rub! ‘Ever tried. Ever failed. Never mind. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.’ – Samuel Beckett.
