NASA will hold a news conference at 12:30 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 15, to discuss the Chandra X-ray Observatory's discovery of an exceptional object in our cosmic neighborhood.
The news conference will originate from NASA Headquarters' television studio, 300 E St. SW in Washington and carried live on NASA TV.
Media representatives may attend the conference, join by phone or ask questions from participating NASA locations. To RSVP or obtain dial-in information, journalists must send their name, affiliation and telephone number to Trent Perrotto at: trent.j.perrotto@nasa.gov by 10 a.m. EST on Nov. 15. Reporters wishing to attend the conference in-person must have a valid press credential for access. Non-U.S. media also must bring passports.
Scientists involved in the research will be available to answer questions. Panelists providing analysis of the research include:
- Jon Morse, director, Astrophysics Division, NASA Headquarters in Washington
- Kimberly Weaver, astrophysicist, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.
- Alex Filippenko, astrophysicist, University of California, Berkeley
The Chandra X-ray Observatory is part of NASA's fleet of "Great Observatories" along with the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitizer Space Telescope and the now deorbited Compton Gamma Ray Observatory. Chandra allows scientists from around the world to obtain X-ray images of exotic environments to help understand the structure and evolution of the universe. The Chandra X-ray Observatory program is managed by NASA's Marshall Center for the Science Mission Directorate, NASA Headquarters, Washington, D.C.
The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) in Cambridge, Mass., is responsible for the conduct of the day-to-day flight operations and science activities from the Operations Control Center and Chandra X-ray Center (CXC) facilities. The CXC Web site is the primary resource for information on the Chandra X-ray Observatory mission.
So, after we have had at least three warnings by NASA about extraordinary solar activity in the next two or three years, and after we have had project Orion in the UK involving mainly North European contries using the pretetxt of a richter 8 earthquake, and, we have the obvious emergency preparednss, such as the buying in of emergency medical supplies, the at least twice buying of freeze dried foods plus the distrubution over the next few weeks to the -is it ten -regional entres in the united states, it is as if we are being slowly informed there is something not quite benign about some of the things outside the earths atmosphere. I always say, if the sun is going to erupt in a mannner unusual in its ferocity, something must be causing it. Now we have many indications of some large body aproaching, this is not internet gossip Harringtom was kiled for what he was about to uncover on his way to New Zealand I believe. The south pole telescope was erected in a great hurry using C-17 cargo planes in a tiny window of calm before winter set in. The vatican has its telescope in arizona , we have the ones in Chile, and the real reason for the space station is never told. there is a strange silence about what goes on there.
So back to NASA, Are we about to have the truth revealed a little bit more as to what it is they are watcing for? I have just watched Jesse Ventura excellent new film on FEMA camps and though have known about all this for a while now, the film is very very disturbing, but more so the reaction of the congressman he films, it is worrying in the extreme. They are planning for something.
SOTT wrote yesterday about imminent catastrophe from our skies, and I commented on this. To some effect I believe. I also wonder if the powers that be will release the full truth, to us, over the next few months, as in this news conference, as we approach the time when these thing are imminent. The more they are prepared, the more they will condition us, but not exactly tell us what is to be expected. So let us see what NASA has to say and read between the lines where we can.
