© UnknownWhy you should never add your boss as a friend on Facebook... 'Lindsay' appears to have been sacked in a message from her boss 'Brian'
A female worker appears to have become another casualty of Facebook updates after moaning about her job on the social networking site and getting the sack.

The woman, known only as 'Lindsay', updated her Facebook status with a message criticising her boss, but it seems she had forgotten that she had added him as a friend and could read all her messages.

Several other workers have been fired in the past after admitting throwing sickies, or claiming they are bored at work.

It is not known if the conversation is genuine or the work of some cunning jokers, but it has provoked a lot of amusement at the expense of the female worker.

Because, if true, the woman appear to have been openly humiliated by her 'boss' after he replied a few hours later with an embarrassing run down during which he appeared to sack her.

'Lindsay' wrote: 'OMG [oh my God] I HATE MY JOB!! My boss is a total pervy w***** always making me do s*** stuff just to p*** me off!! W*****!'

Her boss 'Brian' responded a few hours later.

He began: 'Hi Lindsay, I guess you forgot about adding me on here?'

He went on: 'Firstly, don't flatter yourself. Secondly, you've worked here 5 months and didn't work out that I'm gay?

'Thirdly, that 's*** stuff' is called your 'job', you know, what I pay you to do. But the fact that you seem to be able to f*** up the simplest of tasks might contribute to how you feel about it.

'And lastly, you also seem to have forgotten that you have 2 weeks left on your 6 month trial period. Don't bother coming in tomorrow.

'I'll pop your P45 in the post and you can come in whenever you like to pick up any stuff you've left here.

'And yes, I'm serious.'

Screen shots of the exchange, which appears to be genuine, have been posted on websites, blogs and are circulating via email.

Users on Digg and Lamebook social content website have attracted thousands of comments from amused readers.

The majority of readers' comments suggest that the mystery woman deserved to be sacked for stupidity.

One Lamebook user commented: 'I used to talk badly about my job and employers all the time.

'I just made sure I wasn't telling the entire internet or any vague untrustworthy sources.'

Another reader said: 'This was the equivalent of trash-talking your boss to your friends loudly at the top of your lungs while forgetting that your boss was not only still in the room but standing next to you.

'This is proof that just because you can publicly announce every thought you have on Facebook, it still doesn't mean you should.'

Other casualties have included 16-year-old office worker Kimberley Swann who was sacked after she mentioned over several weeks how bored she was at work and how menial her tasks were.

In January, Marks & Spencer staff were caught branding customers 'idiots' and 'cheap little b******s' in a Facebook forum.

In November, British Airways staff caused uproar by calling passengers 'smelly and annoying', while Virgin Atlantic sacked 13 crew for describing passengers as 'chavs'.
