The panicking marsupial bounded into the path of several cars when it somehow found its way onto the track at Australia's premier touring car race, the Bathurst 1000, in New South Wales.
Drivers veered off the track to avoid the creature as it leapt along with the flow of the traffic for one 100 yards.

The 'roo follows the flow of traffic, oblivious to the high-powered cars |
Amazingly, and despite one of the high-powered cars clipping the animal, the kangaroo emerged unscathed.
It is not uncommon for kangaroos blinded by headlights or startled by engine noise to leap in front of cars in Australia.
Since kangaroos in mid-bound can reach speeds of around 30mph the force of the impact can be severe.
