and it’s sad to see it reported as a joke. The debate about climate change rages on worldwide and yet, in rural Australia (where I live), accumulated wisdom says ‘yeah, it’s just a cycle mate’. The accumulated wisdom of generations on the land should not be dismissed out of hand. And yet rural Australia is at the same time in deep denial about the dangers of GMO. Farmers around here are breaking their necks to plant more GMO crop, and in other parts of the state GMO forestry is a fact on the ground (albiet in ‘controlled, test plots' – and most SOTT readers will be aware of what a sad joke those 'controls' are).
