Galileo Galliei's observation
Every one knows how difficult it is to see planets of our solar system, beyond Saturn. This difficulty prevented one feather entering in the cap of Galileo Galliei, here is an anecdote for the public.
Galileo Galliei observed Neptune twice, first on 28th December 1612 and then again on 27th January 1613 but misunderstood it as a fixed star because Neptune had just started with its retrograde motion - that is the motion from west to east as observed from Earth. As a planet changes motion from forward to retrograde, it appears steady for a few days and hence Gelileo Galliei's misunderstanding.
In a sense, our solar system is a troubling one as it does not contain any real-retrograde planet but does contain some real-retrograde moons around planets like Jupiter and Saturn. This situation poses a great conceptual problem in the H.S.C. physics. More information from me, dvsathe@gmail.com
Willing is not enough; we must do. Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
“Simulacra + Simulation” by Jean Baudrillard is heavy going, but a great read.
Oh, now we're spinning the "cracking narrative," are we? Drawing a parallel between the two major (and incredibly clever) "limited hangout"...
Blade Runners, USA anyone? :)
You cannot reason with unreasonable people, you can only beat them into submission.
The problem with public awakening is that the blob is now planning an end run around us with total narrrative control and personal access control...
