US: Investigators busy with UFO sightings in Pennsylvania

From flaming trees to six-sided, hovering aircraft, people in towns like Langhorne and Fairless Hills are seeing things otherworldly - making the area the current ground zero of the UFO world.

"I'm spending almost two hours a night on these sightings in Bucks County," John Ventre of the Pennsylvania chapter of the Mutual UFO Network said last week. "This wave that [started] the second half of last year was incredible."

Over 100 sightings since June more suited for Fox and Mulder than local police departments have attracted the attention of the Discovery and History channels.

US: A dozen low flying UFOs over nine states

March UFO reports include a dozen low flying objects over nine states and 13 interesting cases of odd lights at higher altitudes over 12 states, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) reporting database.

MUFON is now resonding within 24 hours to selected Close Encounters of the Second Kind - those UFO sightings where the object reaches the ground - through their recently announced Star Team Impact Program (SIP).You can read more about it here.

The following selected low flying cases occurred throughout March, but were reported to MUFON between March 9-15. Thirteen cases of UFO sightings at higher altitudes occurred over 12 states between March 9 and 15, as reported in the Mutual UFO Network database.

These selected cases include a "greenish" object that moved at a high rate of speed over Texas, a "roundish-shape" sighting over Connecticut, a star-like object making a jerky motion over Florida, a bright blue cigar-shaped object over Independence, Missouri, a bright light seen by many people over Virginia as jets moved in for a look, pulsating lights over Arizona, something seemingly in orbit with Venus as seen from D.C., a stationary object the size of a VW bug north of Pikes Peak in Colorado, a bright blue zigzagging light splits into two lights over Georgia, white lights circling in dense clouds in Ohio, a star-like object over Texas, another star-like object with jets circling it over Washington, and a brilliant star over California changes shape and size.

US: Salt Lake City UFOs are back

New reports of silent UFOs over Salt Lake City have been reported recently.

On March 1, we reported - "UFO 'squadron' low over Salt Lake City". We reported "UFOs back over Salt Lake City" on March 6, with testimony from the same witness.

A new report from the same Salt Lake City area witness appears below, as well as a second report from a reader of this column. These reports are unedited.

March 10th, 2009 at and between the times of 9:23 pm to 9:27 pm, this is what I saw and my report.

I thought it was any ordinary Jet approaching from the south of me. It had two white lights on each side from this front view. It was about the same size of an ordinary jet perhaps larger. I dismissed it. But nothing else was flying in the area so I watched it comes towards me with 10x50 Bushnell binoculars .

UFO formation in South Africa filmed by cops

Twenty three lights moved steadily in the night-sky of Witbank, South Africa on Friday March 6 2009 -- and scores of residents in nearby Middelburg also saw them. They called in the police, who filmed the odd formation of lights on their cellphones.
Mrs Hetta Malan of Middelburg was one of the many Middelburg, South Africa residents who spotted the formation that Friday-night. It was moving steadily towards the nearby mining town of Witbank, she told the Afrikaans-language newspaper Beeld.

And in Shropshire in the UK yesterday, many people also reported seeing many strange globes and lights in the sky.

My daughter (adopted) was walking home and she saw a couple of strange crafts over our town. One had red and blue lights and she could see it was spinning. She can't tell me the colour of the second one. Both were flying erratically, not in a straight line. Maybe you'll get other reports with better descriptions.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: To whom it may concern. On March 9, 2009 at approx. 10:20PM - 10:25PM, in York, Pennsylvania (Red Lion to be exact), I and my 10 year old twin daughters witnessed a UFO. While, we're not claiming it to be extra-terrestrial, we are in fact saying it was surely unidentifiable! As we watched TV, I noticed a very bright light from outside in the sky. (I can see out our balcony door from the couch) It was so bright, that it was nearly blinding and yet, from quite a distance. I tried to watch both our show and this light, as it seemed it was approaching as would any airplane. As I continued to watch, it occurred to me that indeed there was only one light, not two, like normal planes flying in the night. This light continued toward our direction and as it did, I began to stand up, something didn't seem right, but, I thought, if in fact it was a helicopter or plane, maybe it was in trouble and that's why it was flying so low or maybe it was the hospital helicopter. Upon getting up to go look, my daughters joined me.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Went outside and noticed a "star" that was twinkling very quickly. Colors appeared to be primarily white, but would the secondary colors would quickly cycle through red, blue, purple and maybe a blue. The cycle was very quick, maybe 10-20 ms. This was very far away to the south, but couldn't tell how far. Shortly after, I noticed something fly overhead but this one was flashing white with red as the secondary colors. Again, very fast flashing and traveling faster than the planes that come out of MCO. (Also, the planes look quite a bit different.) About two minutes later, I noticed another of the red craft flying by at about a 30 degree trajectory difference from the first red object.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: When going outside on the back porch to view the moon, as my father often does, he noticed a very bright object in the sky. He called us out to look. We are familiar with the stars we usually see here at the house. This bright object is so bright, it almost hurts your eyes, sets off rays in every direction because of the brightness.
