The following report is just in from our colleague José Martínez Echevarría:

"Recently, Luiseppi Quinones reported the sighting of a strange artifact flying over Cabo Rojo, particularly close to Playa Buyé on the littoral. He managed to observe the slow movement of the object, believing at first that it was a helicopter in the area. When the object turned around, he sees what appears to be a very large triangular object initiating a slow descent. Luissepi notes that there's nothing in that area except for the sea, therefore deducing that the object became submerged. There was no sound or noise of engines or turbines, which would be common in commercial airliners; there were lights on three of its corners and a large one at its center. This event took place on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 8:30 p.m.

Argentina: Resident of La Pampa Stood Under a "Flying Saucer" (1984)

Dozens of residents of Toay shared the event.
Resident of La Pampa said that aside from strolling under the UFO, he was able to see another vehicle in the same area, along with dozens of other locals. This all took place 25 years ago, but he is breaking his silence today.

"I really got under the UFO and was able to see its eye." This was the phrase that a resident of the Pampean city of Toay used to retell an experience that very few humans have had. The event occurred 25 years ago, but the witness chose to remain silent until now, encouraged by the large number of similar events occurring throughout the country. In his story, the man said that aside from walking under the UFO, he was able to see another strange craft in the same area.

Dozens report 'UFO' sightings

Strange lights in the sky, believed to be UFOs, were spotted all over the borough by dozens of people.
After our report last week of cross-shaped lights being spotted above Long Eaton the previous weekend, a number of readers from all over the borough came forward with their own sightings.

John Henshaw, 46, said he and his neighbours in Shipley View went out into the street to see eight orange lights dart across the night sky on Saturday, October 31. They were convinced the lights were nothing to do with Bonfire displays.

Records on Kecksburg 1965 event an unsolved mystery

Whatever dropped out of the sky in Kecksburg more than 40 years ago, NASA officials insist they have no records documenting its origin, recovery or supposed removal by the military.

No records of a meteor, as state police immediately described it to reporters.

No records of a Russian space satellite, as some conspiracy theorists claim it might have been.

No records of anything related to the incident, actually, despite a large network of eyewitness reports of an orange fireball over the Mt. Pleasant Township community on Dec. 9, 1965.

A New York investigative journalist's seven-year campaign to seek available documents from the federal agency, supported by the recently renamed SyFy channel, turned up nothing about Kecksburg.

Asteroid passes just 8,700 miles from Earth - with only 15 hours warning

It's getting frequent now
You almost certainly missed it - and luckily it missed you - but an asteroid has come within 8,700 miles of hitting the Earth.

Astronomers spotted the object only 15 hours before its closest approach to our planet last Friday.

Its orbit brought it 30 times nearer than the Moon, which is 250,000 miles away.

Even had it been on collision course with us, the 23ft wide asteroid - known as 2009 VA - is unlikely to have made much of an impact because it would probably have all but burnt up in the atmosphere.

It was picked up by the Catalina Sky Survey at the University of Arizona, then identified by the Minor Planet Centre in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a near Earth object and plotted by experts at Nasa.

A Huge Anthill?

Starting in the Brezhnev period, Russia has been pursuing construction of a massive underground facility at Yamantau Mountain and the city of Mezhgorye (formerly the settlements of Beloretsk-15 and Beloretsk-16). Russia's 1997 federal budget lists the project as a closed territory containing installations of the Ministry of Defense.

In the small town of Strašice near Rokycany in the Czech Republic, the Mračkových family has been struggling for five weeks with a mysterious phenomenon in their home. Wall sockets burst into flames, light bulbs explode and none of the experts have been able to explain the cause of this oddity. If they are still unable to come up with an explanation within the next few days, the family will be forced to leave their house. The local authority will provide them with alternative housing.

Tissues, wall sockets, towels, curtains, a painting and even police tape. All of these have been caught on fire in the last five weeks in the Mračkových couple's home. And even though the electricity has been disconnected, the phenomenon continues.

There are days when the blue flames do not appear, but more often than not someone hollers from the bedrooms, bathroom or kitchen, another desperate: "We have another fire in here!" On other days it happens up to sixty times. As if that was not enough, the mysterious events are accompanied by bursting light bulbs and shattering of other glass objects.

I saw UFO beam up a buffalo

Stunned Derek Bridges has revealed how he shot extraordinary footage which UFO experts say shows aliens beaming a BUFFALO into their spaceship.

Pensioner Derek filmed the eerie scene from his window after spotting pulsating glowing orbs hovering over a neighbouring farm late at night.

The two bright lights hover high over fields, while an animal appears to dangle below before vanishing into them.

A high-pitched screeching noise can be heard before the UFOs finally disappear into the night.

Grandfather Derek, 69, said: "I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm convinced it is the real thing."

He told how he spotted the bizarre lights over a neighbouring farm as he looked out of his window while getting ready for bed at his house near Basingstoke, Hampshire.
