The number of Americans who leave Islam is offset by those who become Muslim

Like Americans in many other religious groups, a substantial share of adults who were raised Muslim no longer identify as members of the faith. But, unlike some other faiths, Islam gains about as many converts as it loses.

About a quarter of adults who were raised Muslim (23%) no longer identify as members of the faith, roughly on par with the share of Americans who were raised Christian and no longer identify with Christianity (22%), according to a new analysis of the 2014 Religious Landscape Study. But while the share of American Muslim adults who are converts to Islam also is about one-quarter (23%), a much smaller share of current Christians (6%) are converts. In other words, Christianity as a whole loses more people than it gains from religious switching (conversions in both directions) in the U.S., while the net effect on Islam in America is a wash.

Comment: It seems the Muslims aren't taking over after all, and Americans aren't into the traditional Christmas story as much as they used to be.

More Germans carrying weapons, report feeling 'very unsafe'

A German opinion poll has revealed that almost two-thirds of respondents carry a mace or a weapon to protect themselves from a possible assault. One-third admitted that "foreigners and refugees" are the groups of people they fear the most.

The past few years have seen a significant increase in the number of German citizens who have acquired weapons permits; in December 2017, more than 557,000 Germans obtained such a document, the news network Deutsche Welle reported.

Purchases of non-lethal gas pistols, stun guns, defensive blinding flashlights and gas spray are on the rise in Germany, where at least 23 percent of the population feel "very unsafe", according to a survey conducted by the German pollster Infratest dimap.

Comment: Such a massive influx of people will understandably cause the population to feel as though their environment is changing and naturally they will feel uneasy, couple that with an actual rise in crime and you have recipe for disaster. And this is happening all throughout Europe.

Clark County defies court order to release Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock's, coroner's report

After months of radio silence, new information released earlier this week surrounding the investigation into Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock's motive appears to have revived suspicions that another person was involved in the shooting.

The newly unsealed documents - which were unsealed by court order after journalists at the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other media sued - revealed that the FBI is seeking a "person of interest" named Douglas Haig. Haig's name had not previously been connected to the shooting. What's more, according to what's been widely cited as his LinkedIn page, Haig had "DOD Top Secret clearance" and worked for top weapons manufacturers and specialized in Military Ammunition, as we pointed out.

Haig's connection to Paddock and the shooting is unclear, but in another confusing development, Clark County Nevada Coroner John Fudenberg is defying a court order to release the full autopsy report for Paddock - even though Paddock's body was cremated in December.

Comment: At this point, there's little doubt that something is being covered up in the Las Vegas shooting. For the coroner to incur fines rather than release a 5-week old report reeks of manipulation of evidence. It's unlikely the whole truth will ever be revealed.

Feeding the homeless is illegal: Cops raid licensed chef's home, steal his cooking equipment

A local chef, who had his food handler's license was raided by a dozen cops and health department officials who stole all of his equipment because he fed the homeless without a proper permit.

A kind and loving local chef woke up Tuesday morning to a dozen cops and health department officials raiding his home. Khemuel "Chef" Sanders had his business shut down, all of his equipment stolen by the state, and his life ruined because he made food in his home to give to the homeless.

Unfortunately, in the land of the free, it is against the law to help others or try to make a dollar without first paying the government for the privilege of doing so. While the state will claim this is for the safety of others who may consume the food, the reality is that it is a revenue generation scheme.

To be clear, Sanders is a licensed food handler. He paid the government for the privilege to handle food, however, he was doing it in a manner which they disapproved.

"I have my food handlers license. Expires at the end of this month. I was in a restaurant but the owner got in some trouble and shut everything down. It was out of my control that's the only reason why I was cooking out of my home," Sanders explained.

Comment: The war against the homeless continues, as the pathocrats do everything in their power to criminalize the charitable impulse to help those in need. It's essentially criminalizing conscience.

At least four people suffered gunshot wounds and dozens were injured as violent clashes between Afghan and Eritrean migrants broke out in and around the French port city of Calais.

The violence broke out around 3pm on Thursday afternoon when a brawl began between rival gangs of migrants from Afghanistan and Eritrea "armed with sticks and stones" near Calais Hospital.

The fight, which lasted almost two hours, reportedly began with an Afghan migrant opening fire, AFP reported. At least four Eritreans, aged between 16 and 18, received bullet wounds, including one who was transported to the hospital in Lille in "very serious condition." The others were taken to Calais Hospital for "urgent" surgery.

Liberal madness and ideological indoctrination: Inside a public school social justice factory

Edina's Highlands Elementary School
The city of Edina has changed the way it approaches public education, putting social justice above learning. The results will shock you.

For decades, the public schools of Edina, Minnesota, were the gold standard among the state's school districts. Edina is an upscale suburb of Minneapolis, but virtually overnight, its reputation has changed. Academic rigor is unraveling, high school reading and math test scores are sliding, and students increasingly fear bullying and persecution.

The shift began in 2013, when Edina school leaders adopted the "All for All" strategic plan-a sweeping initiative that reordered the district's mission from academic excellence for all students to "racial equity."

"Equity" in this context does not mean "equality" or "fairness." It means racial identity politics - an ideology that blames minority students' academic challenges on institutional racial bias, repudiates Martin Luther King, Jr.'s color-blind ideal, and focuses on uprooting "white privilege."

Dukes of Hazzards' John Schneider facing jail time

John Schneider

John Schneider may be facing jail time if he doesn't pay up.

The "Dukes of Hazzard" star's estranged wife took the actor to court over unpaid spousal support, according to a report from The Blast.

The gossip site reports that Schneider owes his ex Elvira Castle $185,000 and she filed documents to ask for the maximum punishment of nearly three months in jail.

Schneider reportedly argued in court that he has "been willing, but unable" to pay the $18,911 per month that he is required to pay Castle.

Comment: That's a lot of soy lattes.

According to the 57-year-old, he "tried his very best and has used his best efforts to earn a regular, reasonable, steady income" since his ex filed for divorce in 2014.

Comment: Isn't it a bit strange that someone could be made the debt slave of another human being, and failure to pay could lead to prison? Hmm. Weird.
