Trump's victory shatters the EU's illusion of American benevolence

Having been so happy to be Uncle Sam's passengers on a joyride, Western European leaders find themselves scrambling for the wheel.

EU officials are almost begging Trump not to bend them over a barrel. Biden didn't have to since they assumed the position for him voluntarily.

While waiting for the US presidential election results to roll in, Washington's viceroys in Europe - ambassadors from London and Paris to Brussels and Berlin who risked getting turfed out if Trump won - apparently opted for a quiet evening of singlehandedly stress-eating buckets of Ben and Jerry's on the couch instead of hosting soirees and running the risk of choking on caviar if Trump ended up winning.

One senior American diplomat told Politico, "I don't think there was appetite to watch another Trump victory," calling the last one in 2016 "calamitous." This kind of makes it sound like the place ended up looking like a frat house after a night of alcohol poisoning from drowning their sorrows.

Comment: Gullibility? No one with a modicum of brain function thought a 'coalition to meddle in the Ukraine/Russia conflict' was a good idea. The EU hive-mind mentality was driven, frenzied and championed by the demented - Joe Biden.

Washington risks escalating the conflict by giving Kiev permission to use US long-range weapons against Russia, Dmitry Peskov has said.

Reports that US President Joe Biden has permitted Kiev to conduct long-range strikes on Russia using American weapons, if confirmed, indicate a dramatic escalation of the conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Several news outlets claimed on Sunday that Biden had agreed to reduce restrictions on how Kiev can use US weapons, reportedly allowing Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky order ATACMS ballistic missile strikes on Russia's Kursk Region. The 'victory plan' Zelensky submitted to the US government in September requires the unrestricted use of Western weapons.

Moscow's position on the issue was formulated clearly earlier this year by President Vladimir Putin, who has said that attacks along the lines requested by Zelensky would be impossible without the direct contribution of Western intelligence and military expertise, Peskov stated. If conducted, such strikes would mean that "NATO nations are at war with Russia," he warned.

Comment: If true, what has Biden got to lose? His reputation? His honesty? His legacy? Gone years ago. This would be an attempt to set up Trump (and NATO) with the war no one wants...Biden's 'Hail Mary'.

— William Shatner (Captain Kirk)
If you boil down everything the woked-up, psychopathic Democratic Party did the past eight years as it drove the country into a ditch, it all amounted to a Great Pretending. Whatever the party said, they knew it was not so. Whatever they did, they pretended the other side was doing. They lied lavishly, knowingly, and incessantly and now they are pretending to soul-search in a great public display of pretend humility as they await the dreaded reckoning.

Case in point: the interview on PBS between Aspen Institute chief Walter Isaacson and Harvard civics philosophy prof Michael Sandel, "to make sense of Donald Trump's Presidency." Listen to them prattle about "the dignity of work," "credentialist condescension," and "income disparities." You know it was way worse than that: censorship, witch hunts, the gestapo FBI, a stupid money-pit war, medical fascism, the wide-open border, race-and gender hustles, state-sponsored riots, lawfare programmatically destroying lives, careers, reputations, and misuse of the news media (including PBS) to lie about all of it. These two pusillanimous pricks, pretending to be genteel, are the poster boys for a diseased polity.

Anatomy of victory: The five reasons Trump won

Trump
© Evan Vucci/APUS President-elect Donald Trump
The Republican candidate's victory was total, and it was carefully - and expertly - planned.

Harry Truman, the 33rd president of the United States, once quipped: 'Polls are like sleeping pills - designed to lull the voters into sleeping on election day'. And the truth of Truman's thesis has been confirmed once again by the recently concluded US presidential campaign - the outcome of which contradicted the pollsters.

Donald Trump is back.

America has changed a lot since the tycoon first won the presidency eight years ago. But the reactions to his recent victory have evoked lasting memories of 2016. Just as then, the Democrats, stunned by the results of the election, fell into a stupor for a while, while the Republicans, elated by the victory, rejoiced: "We have stopped the invasion of the left and the globalists - America has a chance to be saved."

The shock of some and the joy of others is compounded by the fact that Trump not only won all the key swing states, but also became the first Republican candidate in 20 years to win both the electoral and popular vote. The latter shows that he didn't just win in an 'anti-rating battle'. So it's not just that Harris was so bad, it's that Trump himself ran a near-perfect campaign. The ingredients of this success are many, but the most important are probably five.

Yes but no - France clarifies stance on Ukrainian long-range strikes

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot
France is still considering allowing Ukraine to target Russian territory with French-supplied missiles, Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has said, after the US reportedly shifted its policy on the issue.

Multiple Western media outlets reported on Sunday that the administration of outgoing US President Joe Biden has reversed its long-standing policy of banning Kiev from using ATACMS missiles to hit targets inside Russia. Ukraine is reportedly expected to deploy the US-supplied munitions in and around Russia's Kursk Region, where an incursion by Kiev's forces has continued since early August.

Following reports on the US decision, Paris-based newspaper Le Figaro claimed that the "French and the British had authorized Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory with their SCALP/Storm Shadow missiles." However, the article was later updated, with any mention of France and the UK also allowing Kiev to strike deep into Russian territory being removed.

When asked on Monday to clarify the French government's stance, Barrot said that President Emmanuel Macron had publicly stated in May that Paris was considering permitting the use of its missiles to strike Russian territory.

Comment: The EU leaders are only puppets and can not decide on anything of importance without the go ahead by the US. The media quickly edited news of allowing the strike as it transpired that the US had put limitations on the real use.

Vladimir Zelensky wants to replace the country's largest denomination with a state-controlled institution, Artyom Dmitruk told RT

Kiev's ongoing crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) can be explained by Vladimir Zelensky's desire to gain political power, MP Artyom Dmitruk has told RT.

Earlier this year, Kiev adopted a law that threatens to completely ban the UOC, adding to pressure already exerted on the largest Ukrainian church by the authorities. Dmitruk opposed the bill when it was debated in parliament and later fled the country, saying he was afraid for his family and himself after taking a stance against the Ukrainian leader.

Comment: It can be assumed Zelensky is doing exactly what the 'Blob' wants him to do. As the Russian diplomatic service has noted:
"Amid the persecutions of Orthodox believers in Ukraine, however, [US officials] never criticized the destructive church policy of Zelensky. By their inaction, they apparently signal to their underlings that they approve of their lawless actions," the document concluded.

NYT reports: Biden approves Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia with US missiles

The reported decision by the American president would signify a major change in policy

US President Joe Biden has reportedly approved Ukraine's first use of American-provided long-range missiles for strikes deep within Russia, the New York Times (NYT) has claimed, citing anonymous officials in Washington.

Authorization to use the Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) was reportedly prompted by Russia's alleged move to utilize North Korean troops in the conflict, the outlet said.

Moscow comments on Biden's reported approval of strikes deep inside Russia
President Putin has previously warned that such a decision would mean NATO's direct involvement in the conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already shared his thoughts on possible Western approval for Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes deep within Russian territory, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.

According to a report from The New York Times on Sunday, which cited unnamed American officials, US President Joe Biden has given Kiev the green light to deploy long-range American missiles against targets within Russia's internationally recognized borders.

"The president has expressed his opinion on this matter," Zakharova told news outlet RBK on Sunday.

In September, Putin stated that Ukrainian forces lack the capability to carry out attacks with Western-supplied long-range missiles without external assistance. "It is not a question of allowing the Ukrainian regime to strike Russia with these weapons or not. It is about deciding whether NATO countries become directly involved in the military conflict or not," he said.

Putin added that if a decision allowing the strikes were made, Moscow would make "appropriate decisions in response to the threats that will be posed to us."

Reported US approval of strikes deep inside Russia a 'decisive moment' - EU state's president
Lithuania's Gitanas Nauseda has long urged other NATO members to lift restrictions for Kiev on long-range missile attacks

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has praised the reported decision by the US to allow Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory, describing it as a "decisive moment."

According to a report by the New York Times on Sunday citing anonymous sources, US President Joe Biden has given Kiev the green light to deploy long-range American-made missiles against targets within Russia's internationally recognized borders.

"The day has come!" Nauseda, who has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine during the conflict, wrote in a post on X on Sunday. "Ukraine can now target military sites in Russia using long-range missiles," he added.

Vilnius has long urged NATO to authorize strikes on targets deep inside Russia using Western-supplied weapons, a move that some observers fear could further escalate tensions and risk a broader conflict.

"This is a decisive moment in fight against the aggressor Russia," Nauseda claimed, adding that "peace cannot be achieved through weakness."

Since the Ukraine conflict escalated in 2022, Lithuania has called on other NATO countries to give "everything we have" to Kiev's forces. Earlier this year, the Baltic country joined a Czech-led ammunition initiative to procure artillery shells for Ukraine using part of the interest earnings from some $300 billion in Russian assets frozen in the EU.

In June, Nauseda pledged to spend 0.25% of Lithuania's GDP by the end of 2024 on military, humanitarian, and economic aid to Ukraine.

His latest remarks came after Washington reportedly reversed its long-standing policy of not allowing Kiev to use ATACMS missiles to hit targets deep inside Russia.

Kremlin reacts to Biden's reported Ukraine move
Washington risks escalating the conflict by giving Kiev permission to use US long-range weapons against Russia, Dmitry Peskov has said

Reports that US President Joe Biden has permitted Kiev to conduct long-range strikes using donated American weapons, if confirmed, indicate a dramatic escalation of the conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Several news outlets claimed on Sunday that Biden had agreed to further reduce restrictions on how Kiev can use Pentagon-provided weapons. The US president reportedly allowed the government of Vladimir Zelensky to strike Russia's Kursk Region with ATACMS ballistic missiles. The 'victory plan' that the Ukrainian leader submitted to the US government in September requires the unrestricted use of Western weapons.

Peskov stated that Moscow's position on the issue was formulated clearly earlier this year by President Vladimir Putin, who has said that attacks along the lines requested by Zelensky would be impossible without the direct contribution of Western intelligence and military expertise. If conducted, such strikes would mean that "NATO nations are at war with Russia," he warned.

When asked whether President-elect Donald Trump would reverse the decision when he takes office in January, Peskov declined to comment directly. Instead, he warned that if media reports are confirmed, "that would certainly be a qualitatively new spiral of escalation of tensions and a qualitatively new situation in terms of US involvement in this conflict."

Trump claimed on his campaign trail that he could end the Ukraine crisis in 24 hours, if elected. The president-elect's supporters have accused Biden of undermining his future policies by escalating the conflict. Voters have given Trump a mandate to disengage from foreign wars, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has argued.

Neither Kiev nor Washington have confirmed the reports. Zelensky mused in a daily video post on Sunday that "strikes are not made with words" adding that "such things are not announced. The missiles will speak for themselves."

The Zelensky government has objected to the Western diplomatic engagements with Russia which have taken place since Trump's victory. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz broke a two-year pause last week by phoning the Russian president.

The Ukrainian military, meanwhile, has launched several attacks with its long-range kamikaze drones against Moscow over the past two weeks.

Zelensky launched an incursion into Kursk Region in August, claiming that seizing Russian land will give his government a bargaining chip at future peace talks. Kiev has lost approximately 33,250 troops and thousands of heavy weapons in the endeavor so far, according to Russian Defense Ministry estimates.

5) Are the developments with regard to Russia even within the deciding power of politicians, including those of the US? Trump's re-election redistributes the cards

VladDonald
© unknownVladimir Putin and Donald Trump, both elected with popular support, will soon meet. They are already discussing through special envoys. They resume their old relationship, except that now Russia is stronger militarily than the United States.
We are going through one of the rare moments when the great powers all change their policies at the same time. Be careful not to make a mistake: those who miss the train will have to wait for the next one. The re-election of Donald Trump, despite the campaign of almost all Western intellectuals against him, redistributes the cards.

International relations are changing extremely quickly on several fronts at once.

The last two weeks have shown that Iran has abandoned its revolutionary ideal and distanced itself from its Sunni allies in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and even Shiites in Lebanese Hezbollah, Iraqi Hashd al-Shaabi and Yemeni Ansar Allah [1]. These points are largely confirmed by the meeting during which Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated by the IDF "thanks" to Iranian information, the confusing statements of Ayatollah Ali Sistani in Iraq, and the measures taken to prevent the assassination of Abdel Malek al-Houthi in Yemen [2].

Then, we showed that the BRICS, at the Kazan summit, affirmed their attachment to international law against the "rules-based order" of the Anglo-Saxons [3].

This week, Donald Trump's landslide victory in the US elections marks the triumph of the Jacksonians over the Democrats, but also over the Republicans, although Trump was supported by their party. It should follow that the United States will cease its wars in Ukraine and the Middle East in favor of an all-out trade war.

Moscow continues to warn the West about the risk of nuclear escalation

Maria Zakharova's recent statement makes it clear that Russia, even while prioritizing diplomacy, will not give up on "devastating" measures if these are necessary to respond to Western aggression.

Tensions over the issue of "deep" strikes continue to escalate. Kiev continues to demand permission to strike targets in the Russian Federation's demilitarized zone, while Moscow continues to make it clear that it will interpret such maneuvers as a declaration of war by NATO. In a recent statement, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized how Ukrainians and their partners are "playing with fire" with such threats, promising an "immediate and devastating" response in the event of a long-range strike.

The Russian government has repeatedly stated that the long-range weapons systems supplied by the West to Ukraine cannot be operated without the presence of NATO specialists, who would provide the necessary training and logistical support to the Ukrainians. This is because such weapons are not compatible with the Ukrainian military infrastructure, which depends on continuous intelligence support and strategic guidance provided by the Atlantic alliance. Moscow's position is clear: authorizing the use of these missiles for strikes outside the official conflict zone, in addition to representing an expansion of Western involvement, would constitute direct NATO intervention in the conflict. Russia would regard any use of these weapons in such circumstances as a direct aggression against its sovereignty by the Western countries themselves, which would require an "immediate and devastating" retaliation.

Comment: Warnings unheeded cease to be warnings. Taking the US to war with Russia would be a plausible and unforgivable last scourge of the Biden regime.

Warning

Pentagon warns Ukraine about corruption

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry is a hotbed of graft, according to a US military report.

Corruption will be the "primary impediment" to Ukraine's post-conflict recovery, the Pentagon's inspector general has warned in a new report.

In a quarterly report to Congress published this week, Inspector General Robert Storch noted:
"Corruption continues to complicate Ukraine's efforts to achieve its EU and NATO aspirations. Judges, politicians, and officials have been charged with corruption and the Ministry of Defense has been a key player in many corruption scandals."
The report cited information from the US State Department and media outlets.

Earlier this year, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the discovery of a major embezzlement ring at the country's defense ministry. According to the SBU, five suspects attempted to steal 1.5 billion hryvnia (around $39.6 million) in state funds intended for the purchase of mortar shells.
