To date, no one knows whether Benjamin Netanyahu fabricated a fake news story or revealed a Mossad capability. However, his accusation is significant: that Israel had allegedly booby-trapped cell phones in countries around the world, just as it had done with Hezbollah's pagers.

In mid-September [ 1 ] , during a meeting with US parliamentarians in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Netanyahu asked them:
"Do you have cell phones? (...) You're holding a piece of Israel right here. I mean, do you know where most cell phones, medicines, and food are made? (...) We're pretty good at making weapons, as well as espionage. We share these two things with the United States, a good part of their espionage."
Regarding "medicines," one need only recall the holy alliance forged during the Covid pandemic with his fellow believer Alberto Bourla, head of Pfizer (whose main shareholder is BlackRock), which supplied the "Zionist vaccine" [ 2 ] . He failed to add his obsession with global control of water through the Israeli state-owned company Mekorot, which has a very strong presence in Mexico [ 3 ] .

Netanyahu's boasting has been interpreted as the weaponization of mobile phones, medicines and food: Israel's global sabotage deterrent capability with its Pegasus/Candiru spy network [ 4 ] .

A month later, Zhu Xiaoji demanded "a curb on the linking of technology to geopolitical games" [ 5 ] , referring to Netanyahu's apocalyptic intimidation. According to Zhu Xiaoji:
"Israel's intention is to showcase its technological achievements and assert that mobile phones worldwide depend on Israeli technology, while global anxiety stems from the militarization of communication devices by the United States and other Western countries in order to preserve their digital hegemony."
A month and a half after Netanyahu's cyber bravado, former Mossad director Yossi Cohen boasted that Israel had deployed a global espionage and sabotage network using rigged equipment with explosive traps and spy devices [ 6 ];
"It is a powerful system of fraudulent commercial material used to collect information or, in some cases, cause physical damage."
In this regard, former CIA Director Leon Panetta stated:
"The ability to place explosives in commonly used technological devices in order to transform them into tools of terrorist warfare is truly alarming. This is a new form of warfare" [ 7 ] : a "sophisticated barbarism" [ 8 ] .
According to Yossi Cohen, this technique is implemented in "every country you can imagine." Silly question: Is Mexico one of them? Yossi Cohen added:
"This technique originates in the weaponization of communication equipment used by Hezbollah fighters, including beepers modified to function as remote surveillance tools or explosive devices: 'If adversaries buy equipment, Israel must intervene by infiltrating their supply chain and exploiting it.'"
Yossi Cohen admitted that "the concept was refined and expanded globally after being thoroughly tested during the Second Lebanon War in 2006." As early as the 2024 war, Israel decapitated Hezbollah's entire leadership. This is hardly surprising coming from the Mossad, whose motto, inspired by Proverbs 24:6, is: "By deception you will wage war," as explained by former Mossad spy (" katsa ") Victor Ostrovsky in his book By Way of Deception.

One of the first disinformation tactics (the Hasbara technique ) consists of framing the narrative from the outset by "speaking first": getting ahead of the facts through deception and fake news [ 9 ] .

I am leaving aside the malicious actions of Israel, a genocidal and pariah state, with its lucrative arms-selling companies - Israel Weapon Industry (IWI)/SK Group, Elbit Systems, and Israel Aerospace Industries - a whole other topic!

How will the BRICS react? [ 10 ] For now, Russia, China and Brazil have banned mobile phones equipped with "unremovable spyware".
