In yet another dog attack, a nine-year-old child was brutally mauled by a pack of stray dogs leading to his death. The incident occurred on the evening of February 11, when the kid went to collect wood from the field.

The deceased identified as Purushottam had gone to gather dry wood around 5 PM along with a neighborhood child. While he was picking up wood in the field, four to five stray dogs attacked him from behind, biting his neck and severely injuring him. The child who had accompanied him raised an alarm and ran to call the villagers working in the nearby fields.

However, by the time they arrived, the dogs had already torn the child apart, leaving his body in a blood-soaked state. After the incident, panic and anger prevailed in the entire village.

Villagers informed Madan Kashyap, father of Purushottam, about the incident. Purushottam was the youngest son of his father. He has two elder sisters and two brothers.

Bhopal Police has sent the child's body for post-mortem at the nearby hospital. Locals demanded the authorities take strict actions against these violent dogs. They informed authorities that these violent dogs kept chasing children and attacking them.

Village head Rajesh Kumar assured the villagers that he would meet SDM Nakur to demand urgent action against the violent stray dogs. Additionally, he would seek financial compensation for Purushottam's family, ensuring that the grieving household receives some relief after the tragic loss.
