The Marshall County Coroner said the man who was found dead at a mobile home park in Albertville Sunday died due to a dog mauling.

At around 11:00 a.m. Sunday, the coroner's office said it responded to the mobile home park located at 100 Greenwood Drive in Albertville and found 40-year-old Francisco Batz-Lux, of Albertville, dead outside.

According to the coroner, evidence on the scene along with trauma to Batz-Lux led investigators to reach out to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy to be performed.

The Marshall County Coroner said that based on the findings of the medical examiner and evidence on the scene, Lux's death was ruled accidental and it was determined he died as a result of a dog mauling.

The incident is still under investigation by the Albertville Police Department.
