Looked like a bright satellite travelling east from west after dark. It was very bright and I watched it disappear over the eastern horizon, well almost. Satellites tend to go dim when the Earth blocks out the sunlight. This one didn't.
There's great app called Stellarium + that allows you to pinpoint larger tracked space junk and satellites in real time.
If you woke up hours later with a splitting headache and a sore bum.... it was definitely Aliens...
You would be more likely to wake up with a splitting headache and a sore bum by visiting some seedy dives on Terra Firma, if you should so choose.

Very high altitude orbits will have a much slower apparent velocity when observed from the ground. (Whatever it was?), it was travelling at about the same apparent rate as low orbit satellites generally do and it was as bright as any bright satellite I've seen.
We saw this bizarre bright blue object that blazed across the entire sky from a sailboat in the ocean last October. It left a luminescent 'contrail' and was traveling thousands of mph... Only thing we could figure was a meteor that 'skipped' across the upper atmosphere?
That's my only UFO story that I can recall . . . but then again . . maybe there's one I forgot . . . . [Link]
