A massive dead whale was found on the shore of a Queens beach Friday.

The decomposing corpse of the sea mammal washed ashore in Breezy Point near Beach 193rd Street.

The species of the animal is believed to be a humpback whale, according to the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society.

"The whale is in the surf and also in an area with nesting piping plovers, which are considered to be a threatened species along the Atlantic coast under the Endangered Species Act," the organization said in a Facebook post. "This area is being sectioned off to ensure the safety of these birds."

A team from the organization is expected to arrive on site Saturday morning at 7 to conduct a necropsy.

A 32-foot humpback whale also washed up in Long Beach two weeks ago. It is believed to have been hit by a boat.
