Yuval Steinitz, yet another pathological representative of Israel's government
"If Syrian President Bashar al-Assad continues allowing Iran to operate within Syrian territory, Israel will liquidate him and topple his regime," Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz told Ynet.
He went on to state that "if Assad lets Iran turn Syria into a military base against us, to attack us from Syrian territory, he should know that will be the end of him."
Hassan Beigi, a member of the Iranian parliament's national and foreign policy commission, responded to the minister's statements later on Monday. "Israel can't do anything," he told RIA Novosti, reminding Tel Aviv that Iran has legitimate grounds to operate on Syrian soil, citing an invitation from Damascus.
Steinitz's bold comments come as Israel reportedly prepares to face a possible retaliatory strike after Syria's T4 airbase was hit by an airstrike on April 9. Iran blames the strike, which it says killed seven Iranian military advisers and members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, on Israel. Russia has also stated that Israel was behind the attack.
Israel did not initially comment on the attack. However, a senior Israeli official told a New York Times columnist that Tel Aviv was behind the strike. Two US officials also told NBC News that Israel was responsible, saying it informed Washington ahead of time. Damascus has blamed the air-raid on Tel Aviv, calling it a clear "aggression."
The attack came just two months after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck the same military site after claiming an Iranian drone had crossed into Israeli airspace from Syria.
A separate April strike, which also targeted Syrian infrastructure, was not claimed by Israel, but did occur just hours after Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman vowed to protect his country's national interests, even if it means breaching Syrian airspace.
Tensions between Iran and Israel continue to mount, following a controversial television slideshow presented by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he accused Iran of lying about its nuclear program. He claimed that, as a result of the alleged deception, the 2015 nuclear deal is thus null and void. Iran has slammed the move as a "coordinated timing of alleged intelligence revelation by the boy who cries wolf." It came ahead of a May 12 deadline which will see US President Donald Trump decide whether to extend US sanctions relief for Tehran.
Beyond that, I'd almost certainly bet that when you attacked sundry other countries you cared not which or whose borders you overflew, unless they might have been powerful enough at that time to cause you concern. Why? Because your only 'concerns' concern 'power' or 'might'; and since you have nukes, YOU have the power there, because your actions indicate and verify your beliefs: “it is not goodness that makes 'right,' but only that 'might makes right'.” This you NEVER acknowledge or perceive in yourself/yourselves, and ALWAYS point out about everyone else. (Much like your oversized puppet, AmeriKa.)
Now I have read the Bible (when I first stumbled across one at age 43) - of course including both Testaments, Old (which you accept) and New (which you deny), as I understand it.
Any objective mind reviewing the painfully differing lessons of each will realize that the New (if followed) recommends/mandates that humans conduct their actions in a fashion very differently from the Old, and,
very kindly and benevolently.
Meanwhile, the Old says:
- “I, your God, say to you: Do not use your common sense: follow whoever is the most powerful and whoever claims that they have spoken with God. (Hence have followed the Terrors of the ‘The Divine of Kings, ‘Divine Right,’ etc.); and,
- “I, Your God!, told you I’m a jealous God! (which implies there were other equivalent ‘gods’, eh what?; and beyond that, his jealousy seems particularly directed towards groves of innocent trees! ... in a desert!!! Simply not logical in my tree and shade loving mind) (Note: Though not done for that purpose, “I must of course also piss off the Nut Case Christians, who are, to any half-wise mind, made of the self-same ‘negotiable’ moral fiber as are thoust, Israel!”)
- I, your God!, TOLD your to RAZE that place, the grandpas, the moms, their kids, and the cattle, the goats and THEIR kids! And you bring back the pretty women, the children and critters?!! ARGH!!! Can’t You hear? I said ‘All, Kill Every Living Thing’, how can you not understand that?

Now, I realize that this quote supposedly comes from Christ, who, if he ever even existed, very many self-claimed 'Christians' the world over, say or claim things ranging from the least judgmental “Ancient persons who claimed to be Jews ensured or helped ensure Christ’s crucifiction’**, through the medial, 'you' OR 'you Jews' killed Christ, despite his being Jewish in the first place, all the way through those who are usually the most self-righteous of all and who label you ‘Christ killers’).
(Note that I call them ‘self-claimed’ because, to me, to be a ‘Good Christian’ is redundant. So, to be good or ‘Christian’, is to be good and honorable in DEED! Words don’t mean jack sh*t. (See, e.g., Hamlet: It is my (mis?)understanding that you believe a messiah will come but it wasn’t Christ. Well, let’s say that’s true. I presume that any messiah worth his/her salt would be more good than bad, and would expect those s/he comes to save be worthy of saving, not by alleged ‘virtue’ of their words, but by real VIRTUE of their deeds/actions. (I won’t start listing your past and ongoing atrocities and war crimes, or my words would shut down SOTT’s entire bandwidth!)
If that time of reckoning does come, I would certainly hate to be standing in your shoes trying to explain/rationalize how and why you’ve taken the actions that you have taken in dealing with the world. R.C.

** By this time, I would bet that some literate person has already noted and pointed out or questioned the entire event using the phrase ‘Crucial Fiction’ instead of 'crucifixion.' It indeed seems appropriate enough, at least as regarding those who mouth Christian phrases as they kill, rape and plunder, or simply as they ignore or openly admire those types of souls in their very midsts.
(And beyond that, it’s not ‘politic’ to criticize one of these religions alone; and it’s certainly not ‘Politically Correct’ - I surely hope - to write what I here and previously have written.)
Thus, I now have lost my tenure at Jim Baker College, and I guess there’ll be no more of Tammy Faye’s masquara all over my pillow covers. (Joking. THAT would require real female on male rape.... Which gets this one, (who’s never been considered by most as ‘typical’ or ‘ordinary’ or ‘normal’ Thank God! -and more importantly, thank R.C.!****) - to wonder about the functional potentialities of how someone would go about that. I guess it would involve, beyond being strapped down, the forced ingestion of some similar or selfsame as that drug that warns of month-long erections, etc.
