Modern day storylines...

Soros: "My Dear, I will spend every last dime to guarantee you win the Presidency if you agree to one small favour in return."

Mrs Clinton: "Anything! What do you want?"

How could Soros 'guarantee' this?

I suppose it is easy to bribe the press. Reporters have bills to pay. Maybe Trump suspects this which is why he is utterly convinced the press are corrupt.

We know the press is corrupt because we see the truth of what is going on in the rest of the world and cringe at the outright lies that are broadcast/printed by western media about those same things.

Most of those big money contributions are nothing more than highly visible charity that results in tax breaks and favourable public opinion for the donors. All of it is money taken from the American public twice; once when public money was showered on them for their services and the second time when the American public are denied the tax dollars needed to support infrastructure and public programs.

Pocket change

That is a lot of fire-power behind Clinton but those big donations come from people who can afford to push their agenda without breaking the bank. I've watched video showing both Clinton and Trump campaign gatherings and it would appear, from the lack of people at the Clinton rallies, that all that money does little to improve her public image to voters.

In this election round I find it difficult to answer the question, "How could she win if nobody is supporting her?" It is difficult to answer because there are only two ways I can see that she could claim victory: a) Americans are an ignorant, brutal lot who love going to war and are sleepwalking to their own demise by voting for her, or b) This entire election cycle and its final outcome (and probably many before it) have been planned months/years in advance which makes the American vote meaningless and the voting public useless tools.

Days like this when I empathize with those Appalachian and Cascadian militia who know the system is rigged and who are promising civil unrest if Clinton wins.
