Visitors have been flocking to a farm in India after one of its cows gave birth to a TWO-HEADED calf that many believe is a miracle.

The bizarre looking animal, which has two heads and one body, was born last week in Pannuganj village, in Uttar Pradesh, northern India.

And it's attracting an awful lot of attention.

Shocked farmer Dharam Veer Singh, 47, said: "We have heard of two-headed cows born in the past but this is the first time we've seen one.

"The calf has two heads with a common head bone. A doctor suggested some vitamin injections but said an operation was impossible.

"Cows play a sacred role in Hindu tradition in India so this calf is a miracle and is being worshipped by everyone in the village.

"A large number of people have been visiting every day to see the 'holy' cow and offer their prayers."

The two-headed calf has defied the odds to survive a week, but Mr Singh said it had been difficult for its mother to feed it, prompting fears for its health.

He said: "We've had to hold the calf in our hands for it to feed off the mother and then the two heads are fed turn by turn but they struggle.

"The calf is not able to stand or get its balance due to the double heads and weight. The mother cow struggles to milk and their growth is suffering.

"Even though they are a miracle, their survival seems difficult."
