As more and more studies demonstrating the corrosive effect of psychopathy on government, finance, and business emerge, researchers have begun to explore how our society itself has been molded in the psychopaths' image.

Now, one of those researchers, Stefan Verstappen, shares his insights on psychopathy in modern culture.

Watch out..

x2 conclusions acknowledged by this gentleman that stood out for me:

1. That any kind of test to identify them would ultimately be turned around to work to eliminate anyone with a conscience. Watch out for a time when we will be called the psychopaths - anyone that thinks differently, has an imagination or an opinion, who is creative, funny or out of step with the programmed zombied majority.

Yes, but only to the degree of its acquisition. As Verstappen himself says in the first video above, and this applies across the board with all other issues such as 9-11, Church pedophiles and all such catalyst; it all starts and ends in this thing called 'awakening', as matter slowly awakens to its true nature of as consciousness in a mirrored state of introspection and self-analysis. The problem as Verstappen implies is that all we can do is 'wake' people up, but like the old saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." Learning patience with others reflected in patience with oneself, which becomes a nearly constant state of meditative analysis as we become aware of this mirror of ourselves and all others. It seems we are not just becoming aware of our own parts, but that of others, especially these currently labelled 'psychopaths' and their kenfolk who play a rather distinct role in our drama here in Purgatory. The spiral spins tighter as we approach the grand finale just before the Curtain Call, and it's always best to know where to stand when it's time to bow before the audience. It seems these psychos et al, are helping us wake up, become aware and more knowledgeable, thus giving us the protection needed for the next play.

It does seem that their arrival on this stage marks the point of no return, and only those that don't fall into their black hole survives to tell their story. Isn't this how history is always written?

As with what sass stated above, I agree that distancing oneself from the psychopath in personal situations is the best course of action. My younger sister married what I can only deem as a psychopath as he demonstrated so many of the signs. Eventually he did wind up in jail for kidnapping after many years of waiting him out, my father was the one who suggested waiting him out as I had other ideas.
Since that time my wife and I have attracted some folks with psychopathic tendencies. She started a business and was almost wiped out by one. I had warned her that there was something about this guy that did not float with me. He is a very charismatic salesman but lacked any qualities beyond that. No follow up with customers and general apathy towards them after the sale was made. We found out later that he was arrested and on parole for selling date rape drugs. My wife says she has a big pink neon sign on her forehead that says kick me. I have told her to read and learn. Her and I are much more cautious now.

What a dangerous idiot!

The man has missed a key, perhaps THE key, factor of psychopathy: the willingness of a powerful psychopath to kill, maim, or torture to achieve his ends.

Absent a positive means of identifying them, isolating them as a strategy is possibly the most futlie course of action one could possibly take on a societal level, the equivalent of closing your eyes or pulling the sheet over your head in terms of making the bad guys go away. History has proven that the psychopath's modus operandi is to impose himself upon you whether you ignore him or not, perhaps ESPECIALLY if you ignore him. You don't ignore or socially isolate Genghis Khan or his ilk.

Identifying psychopaths is the ONLY path to freedom from them. The emergence of fMRI technologies that pinpoint the physical differences between normals and psychopaths gives us a powerful tool to fight them with. To argue that any test will be subverted and used against us is to argue that technological progress can make no difference in society, an absurd argument on its face, defeatism that precludes defense.

If a county or state can pass a law requiring that all seekers of power positions be screened by fMRI, the Hare test, and a thorough background check (checking for evidence of the actual genuine expression/non-expression of emotions like guilt, remorse, compassion, empathy) before they can run for office or be hired for positions wielding power over others, with no consequence for failure other than to be prohibited from those fields, we can begin to cure our society of psychopathy and heal it. Allow those who fail several attempts before deeming them permanently emotionally disabled, for that is indeed what we are discussing here: an emotional disability in the strictest definition of the term, a physcial inability to experience compassion, guilt, remorse, empathy or responsibility.

Psychopathy can be considered a virulent, but situational, emotional disease in that to survive in a social environment dominated by them, one must emulate them. Once you begin weeding them out, however, a society will quickly shed the behavior. Again, a close study of history bears this out. Golden ages of peace and prosperity usually follow uprisings against psychopathic rulers after they and their cronies are killed. It usually takes a generation or two for the psychopaths to work themselves back into power.

I strongly suspect that humanity cleaves into two very closely related but seperate subspecies of genus Homo. It is said, erroneously in my opinion, that humanity is the only species with no natural predator. This statement defies logic, as nature has never left an ecological niche unfilled to my knowledge. Psychopaths are natural predators whose natural prey is the bulk of humanity who aren't psychopaths. The FACT that there are consistent physical diferences between psychopaths and non-psychopaths gives powerful support to this argument. I believe eventually there will emerge a genetic fingerprint that decisively says "psychopath". The other fact that psychopathic ruling families consistently weed out their weak members, i.e., those who exhibit such traits as guilt, remorse, empathy, compassion, honesty, and truthfulness lends support to it also.

Testing would not need to be universal, such as requiring it for students like vaccinations. It should be triggered only when a person seeks a position of power, thus limiting its potential for misuse. Such seeking is an early warning indicator of a potential psychopath, since power-seeking is an irresistable urge in them.

I would suggest beginning drives to initiate county and state laws encompassing what I've outlined. I think the proper way to achieve this is to mark it as a emotional disability, for that is what it is. While it would of necessity and by definition create a new special interest group, it's hard to envision broad public support for the rights of psychopaths to express their psychopathy. In the end, positively and publicly identifying them is an absolute necessity for a safe and sane society to emerge.

Apacheman, I don't think calling this man an idiot is useful in any way. Its rather rude and condescending. Rather than name calling, maybe you should consider writing your own book and making your own videos?

Your idealism is clouding your vision. How can you sanely consider some kind of "drive" , be it local or state, that would get a large group of cell phone / TV brain-gelled Facebook narcissistic authoritarian followers to actually get off their asses and DO something that doesn't concern their own self-aggrandizement?
I'm not sure what world you live in, but it ain't the one I see.

Mr. Verstappen is correct in his assessment that it would be turned around and used against us. It IS how they operate. If you consider that they are supported by a vast group "followers" who may not test as full-blown psychopaths, but are completely ponerized and actually admire and believe their lies, just who is left to populate and fund your so called "drive"?

Do you actually think a "law" could be implemented by the very people and system that has for centuries crafted and used "laws" to systematically control and destroy every personal freedom and right of man? Do you really think you can use the very thing that has made a commodity out of every one of our earth mothers gifts,gifts that now must be "purchased" with your own sweat blood and toil, to make a "law" that would take away their power ? Its such an absurd idea.

I do not think that all your ideas are that bad, but they would only be possible in an imaginary world where the corrupted and power hungry have already been held in check, or at the least, has been kept out of the judicial branch....which would then, in turn, eliminate the need for the very things you purport...because there would be actual justice.

Remove those rose colored "idealism glasses" and you might see that Mr. Verstappen is not a "dangerous idiot" after all. Then, if your really brave and can handle an un-buffered shock, go back and review some of your other comments(some of which DO have good ideas,BTW)....try to read them as if someone else wrote them...and see what happens. Sorry, but I stand my ground here: what he suggests is counterproductive societally, for the reasons I've stated. You cannot successfully ignore psychopaths and expect them to simply go away. On an individual level, perhaps, but on a societal level? It IS idiocy to assume the they will dry up and blow away if you ignore them...just think it through: they are geared towards self-survival at all costs, depriving them by not feeding them personally will simply drive them to feed on others, not exactly the best way to handle them on a societal level. That is purely a selfish, and ultimately useless strategy.

I am NOT being idealistic...I'm being very pragmatic here. We now have the tools to positively identify the psychopaths in our midst who prey upon us. They are now known to have physical differences that fMRIs can readily expose: the lack of response to situations that would evoke empathy, compassion, guilt, and a whole suite of emotions they can emulate but not experience. I find it hard to imagine how such a screening can be turned on its head and used against us, since it is a stark either/or test: you can either feel those emotions or you can't, and if you feel them it shows, and thus you pass. The screeners themselves must pass first, and then be protected from intimidation.

If we characterize this as an emotional disability, using that approach we can use the initiative process to pass legislation on a local, then state level. I'm fairly certain we can then begin the process of eliminating them from the bottom up. Will they fight back? Of course they will. Does that mean we shouldn't make the attempt? Of course not. The alternative is to simply accept them as inevitable and unstoppable. Will it be easy? Of course not, they have power, and psychopathy is contagious. But it is curable if one isn't a genetic psychopath by removing the source of the contagion, as witness post-WWII Germany, post-STASI East Germany, and post-Pol Pot Cambodia, to name a few examples.

Remember: all changes are imaginary at first, until people work to implement them. I remember when the rights of minorities to freely vote and not be harassed was considered an imaginary world, a world in which segregation didn't exist was imaginary, where sexual freedom, gay rights, gay marriage and a myriad of other things were considered unattainable, stuff of pure fantasy.

What I propose isn't idealistic, but pragmatic realism: we have the tools to defend ourselves now and change our society, using them to do so is cold necessity. We stand on a knife edge, for other tools are emerging that will give the psychopaths nearly unbreakable power if we don't stop them soon.

It can truthfully be said that we are all psychopaths because of our emotions and how we let them control us. We allow us to believe we can kill when it is said thou shalt not kill. We seek to better our lives at the expense of others. we strike out at others regularly when we aere told to turn the other cheek. We make ourselves out as better than others and not equals. To do so is to make ourselves out as gods. Thus we show ourselves to be true psychopaths. Thus we are right at home with each other we are all that way. We wouldn't dream of seeking to be perfect for we want to live and not just exist. We want a easy life and not a rough one. Trying to be perfect would be too hard on us and an impossibility. We choose to be imperfect as such for we want life easy. Free of guilt. Free of equality. Sin is easier to live with than sinlessness so we chose that path. It is us. Our way. It is life. Sinlessness is a form of death to us so we turn away from it. We can only be happy with sin.

Any who says the god of Jesus, a jealous god, will keep forgiveing their sins because they pray for forgiveness everyday is a liar for Jesus said his jealous god casts aside those who continues to sin and hears not their prayers. One thing people don't seem to realize is that the middle east wasn't always as barren as it is now. I was more like America. If you read the bible you find the garden of eden was a vast forest with fruit trees even. And if you read the bible you find that in the time of Jesus it had vast grasslands. It was truly a land of milk and honey. Much like most of America. Nothing like it is today. Climate changes and the environment changes with it. Along the coast it was fertile and green thanks to the moisture in the air. Israel was a green country. A lot of that was due to the River Jordan. We can't judge any place by how it is now. We tend to do that though. Oklahoma wasn't always a dust bowl though. A large part of America was under water at one time. So one has to listen to what is being said when they read about the past for it is talking about an entirely different world from the present world. Think of all the climate changes each country went thru from the beginning as the plates broke up and shifted apart makeing the continents. Nothing remained the same. Change is the rule. Everything keeps going thru it. History is a window to the past but it is written by people too much that changes history. Thus you have to compare the written history. To seek the truth. History like the present is too easily misread and written wrongly. Too much so because people don't allow for the law of change and how it affects history. Also because of politics though. There is too many lies in the present history so why would one expect it to be any different in the past history. Originally this planet was named Hell and was later on renamed Earth. Things change. Things gets hid. If you want the truth you have to search for it. Separate it from the lies. When the ozone layer is finally gone what kind of world do you think this will be? If you study the bible you find men were psychopaths thruout history. The bible is a series of books showing different gods. Not the same gods. If you paid attention when reading it you find that in the time of Moses the Golden Bull was the god of the Jews. Not the god of Moses though. If you recall god was seen as the burning bush by Moses. Which signifies that his god was either the sun or the earth, Hell, which came from the sun originally. No mention had been shown of Hell by him thus the burning bush represented the sun and it's flames rather than the fires of Hell. Thus the same god that Jesus served. The sun god. Which came before the gods of the Jews that were mentioned in the bible. All races had gods back then. Early gods of the Romans were of the planets and the Romans recreated them in their image. In other words in man's image. The Jews did that at one time too. Only they declared man was made in god's image and not the other way around. That's because when they declared that their gods were men. Adam's god was the moon and that's why he was seen in the clouds. Why he was seen to have such a long age. For his age was counted by every full moon that he lived and not by the day as it was with those who worshiped the sun. Thus you can tell in which generation they quit worshipping the moongod and started worshipping the sun. Their longetivity became far less. Around 12 times less than their descendants. After leaveing Egypt the Jews started haveing mangods such as David. Many of them. All kings were considered gods back then when David took over. High gods and lower gods. Originally when Lucifer was cast into Hell referred to an asteroid hitting the Earth probably or as the Earth being torn from the sun and takeing orbit. Then followed the creation of life. And eventually man as well. Ancients described things according to how their limited knowledge would let them. Thus Lucifer could have originally the Earth itself and reigns in Hell, it's orbit, or something that hit the Earth either one. Either way it was cast out of the heavens, outer space. Study the gods of Egypt and you see how far-fetched their imagination could be. Like I said man made their gods in his image quite often but said he was made in the gods image instead. Ego. Moses and Jesus worshipped the sun god but there's no proof that he didn't see the sun as in our image either. After all he is our father who art in Heaven. Thus we see why Jesus said call no man master for only god is master. He probably saw man as in his image. But man could not be a god as the Jews showed he could be in Acts 82 he showed. Thus he showed all other gods as deceivers. Showed that only the sun god was god. Our father which art in Heaven. Man seeks to be gods all of the time though and in so doing show theirselves to be psychopaths only. No man is a god. He is only a devil. A demon. And nothing else. Thus in the books of the bible the only ones who ever worshipped the god of Jesus was Moses and those that followed Jesus and was killed by the church. Those who survived when Jesus died sold their souls to Satan Jesus showed but they too followed his god for a while. And of course Jesus did. The bible thus is really not about the god of Jesus but about other gods and leading people away from the god of Jesus. And the book isn't really about aliens from outer space comeing to the Earth either as some seem to think. Man is a psychopath and and he can make a man in any image. Thus he made him our as part animals a lot of times. Nowhere in the bible will you find little green men mentioned though. Only angels. And those angels as Abraham showed us was caused by the drinking of Ambrosia which was wine. And from fantasy as well as shown by the Romans in the resurrection story. One thing that I forgot to point out. Just because something isn't said doesn't mean it wasn't said. The Old Testament told of a cloud talking but that doesn't necessary mean it was a cloud talking. The clouds hide the moon so if it was talking how would you know if it was talking if you were Adam or if it was the moon? That thus showed it was a cloudy night. That and the fact that Adam lived to such a long age proves he worshipped the moon. There's more to a story then just the words. There's also what they reflect that is being mirrored but not shown. Everything is not out in the open. Most of it is hidden. For instance when you enter a museum and stand in awe at all of the marvelous things that you see in it what words, story, do you tell about it? It was awe inspireing maybe? Do you tell of everything you saw in it and everything you saw out of the corner of your eye only? How much was head from your view at that time? Thus Moses was standing looking at that cloud. His view was limited as to what he could see. So if a moon spoke or a cloud spoke it would naturally seem that it was the cloud if that moon was hidden behind it. Therefore that cloud like the great longevity of Adam proves he was one who worshipped the moon. For they both show the moon in his life. Indirectly but none the less openly.

Everything would have been second-hand passed down thru generation after generation before it reached the writer. Thus not much of it would have up as true. Thus the worship of the moon would have been forgotten. There would be a new god worshipped when it was written. Thus one would have to look closely at the clues that showed there was a different god. Nothing in the bible is gospel as they say. It'll all rewrites. With none of it written by Jesus. But it can lead one to the true history if one looks close enough at it. Long after Jesus died the Romans wrote of things Jesus supposedly said. Not all of it was true. It was passed on as well from others too before it was written. Thus so much of it is contrary. There's no telling how many religions in it had been turned into one religion by rewrites. So one may never be able to separate all of the lies from the truths in it. Geneneration after generation had gone by from the time of Adam until the time he was written about. So it's possible he never even existed. At any rate a later generation gave him a name and wrote about him. The early man longevity showed they would had to worshipped the moon first. Their ages at death would be one thing not forgotten so easily especially with the span of life going down so much. Thus it would still remain as proof that they worshipped the moon. Thus one should always read the bible with a open mind and not with closed mind the church reads it with.

Long after them their was only 23 words in the language used in the bible. Could you get your message across very well with just 23 words? How many words if any would Adam of known so as to leave his history to those that followed him even if he could speak and not write? Thus as you see there's no way that any man could be known in any way. Later one's yeh. Later one's who could past down vocal records at least. Thus the first man would have to be given facts about a later generation to describe them. A baby doesn't talk until it learns from others how to do so. So now you see why the bible says call no man a fool even though it showed Jesus doing it constantly. Thru it the Jews and Romans made fools of the multitudes who followed it. Israelites see theirselves as great warriors but prove to be merely butcherers of men, women, and children in the time of Moses. And in modern times cowards huddleing in fear against the followers of Rome too craven to avenge their murdered men, women, and children as true warriors would have done. Thus the christians devils got away with their peoples murders. Soon their nation will fall once again. How many Jews lives will be lost then? How many men, women, and children? What will the Jews world-wide do to avenge them then? The Jews murdered the original people of the promised land and never avenged their people who's lives was taken by the christian devils in the war so since they never ever had the bravery to stand up against the Romans ever why should they be able to make a comeback once Israel is wiped out again? When Jesus said call no man Rabbi for it means master and only God is master he showed that when one takes on a title he makes hisself out as the master. As God. Jesus also showed he was against the church when he said that and that was why he took people out of the church For those with titles such as Rabbi made theirselves out as gods and only our father who art in heaven is God. Not men of the church or government. As I said I don't have to judge for Jesus has already done the judgeing. And as Jesus said a rich man can't get to heaven because he can't give up his riches here on the Earth. Nor can a camel get thru the eye of a needle. Thus the rich man will receive his just reward but it will not be in heaven but his true just deserts instead. Anyone who has read the bible knows what I said is true. They also knows they were told by Jesus to beware the deceiver which they know now they failed to do for they have been led away from God and his words by the deceiver. Made to believe lies such as such false gods of the church as rabbi's, pope's, etc, who made theirselves out as masters are servants of God when they declare theirselves gods and master with their titles. They make fools of the people by deceiveing them because they don't want to obey god and give up their treasures or their powers. They love being gods and being better than those they see under them. Read what Jesus said about those praying in public for all to see for appearance sake and how they will get their just reward. That reward will not be heaven. As Jesus said praying is a personal thing. A talk between the one who prays and God and not to be done in public. Deceivers do so in public that shows as it makes it no longer a personal thing between the one who prays and God.

To all the good readers of Sott.net that actually have read the previous comments and the video on this story this was a test by me. After seeing the post by other readers, I set out to draw out and to prove that this story is very valid and true.
So I if you go back and watch the videos of the story and then read the posts, you good readers will see that there truly are psychopaths among us. You see that just with a little nudge, a poster can be push into psychopathic behavior. They begin to try convincing, pushing their agenda, and attacking others with different views. They have no conscience or moral value or empathy. All they have is the skewed agenda and promote it regardless of what others are posting.

Also, take a look at the “gas lighting” they do and others join in to help beat the drum.
I think you will agree that these posts have proven Stefan Verstappen point and research.
Just watch how they go “psycho” now that they have been called out.

Truly, truly we are doomed because most people don’t even recognize that we are being driven to a psychopathic driven society.

Every reader will see that you don't go by what Jesus said because you can't give up the things of man like he said you have to go to heaven. Like he said they keep you from serveing God. He has judged you with his words in the bible on that. You prefer the things of man over the things of God you show them. Such as a title which means master. When only God is master. Yes they can see the psychopaths who seeks power and wealth now. You've made it very clear to them with your denials of the truth of Jesus that I shared with you. Cover-ups are plentiful in government and religion but the people can find the truth with Jesus. Such as pray in private being his way for it is a personal thing between them and God. Talk about psychopaths. That's what killers are. And it would seem to me that killing someone or blessing someone who will be killing someone would be unpardonable sins. If you kill someone you deny the god of Jesus a possible future convert or follower. If you bless someone fixing to do so you are telling the god of Jesus he can't have them. That's why the god of Jesus says thou shall not kill instead of kill in my name. He doesn't want people denied the chance to come to him it would seem. If such is the case those who takes a life is denied any hope of going to heaven. Are automatically condemned to eternal hell forever with no hope of reprieve or forgiveness. Man wants to be gods though so he takes life. It makes him feel like a god. Makes him feel powerful. That's why hunters kill game animals when they already have plenty of food available to them that they don't have to actually kill. It's the thrill of the kill. How it makes them feel like a god. God gave the animal life and then they denied it that life. Thus saying they are better than god. That he is a lie and that they are the true gods. It's such a glorious feeling they feel they feel. When anything is denied a life that god gave is wrong or right. In the garden of Eden man was given only plants to eats by that god. So is it wrong or right to take an animal's life. God gave it life. Do you really make yourself out as god when you kill that which God gave life? That is a question that everyone should ask theirselves. Remember the sheep eats grass. The wolf on the other hand eats the sheep. If the god of Jesus has sheep for his people what should they eat. Meat? Hey turnabout is fair play so why don't they put the wolves to eating the grass and the sheep to eating the wolves? That sounds like a winner to me. I doubt if the god of Jesus would go for it though. You decide.

Talk about psychopaths all people are psychopaths. They supposedly have a war to end slavery and then they allow their government to bring slavery back. Prisons are full of slaves. Full of people who made mistakes in life and pay for their mistakes with slavery. Working on the chain gang all people should play and listen to every day. They have allowed slavery after their ancestors died fighting to abolish it is why. In the end they find theirselves turned into slaves as it was with all races in the U.S. who couldn't pay their bills before the Civil War. If you can go to prison now for not paying your taxes now or your medical bills it'll eventually be the same with all of those other bills such as rent. If your lease says you have to pay 2 months rents extra if you leave early what do you do if you lose your job and can't pay your rent oor those extra 2 months rent which you have to pay. Why you start working for that chain gang of course if things continue to go on as they are going. And then you can sing working for the chain gang all the time and really enjoy. I hope you really enjoy that song then. Many Americans died so that Americans wouldn't have to live with the life that song shows. Now they die so that they can.

Lindee-lou You forget that originally this world was named Hell and not the Earth. We hide our past.We were originally demons. Even so we demons were sheep. Thus we were given the Garden of Eden. We thrived in it but really never was satisfied with it. We didn't want to be sheep. We didn't want to be shepherds so we became wolves. Thus we found we found we needed shepherds to watch over us sheep. Thus as we sought to become shepherds we sought to be gods. Shepherds only watch over sheep. Gods kill and eat sheep. They are the wolves and they pray on the sheep. They do not watch over and protect them. When we send our people into battle in war we are sending wolf packs to kill sheep. Not just other wolves. In takeing their lives we are eating them as well. Feeding on the power their death brings us. It's leaves us feeling like gods and sees us seeing ourselves as gods. Thus we accept ourselves as being gods and others as sheep to prey upon and to devour. Our world in the near future will show us differently where that is concerned though. It will kill us all and see us so-called gods extinct. Show us that we were never nothing after all. Demons started out as sheep but made theirselves wolves and gods. God will see to their extinction though. In our word power makes right but the earth wll turn on us and show us what real power is. That's what the times will be changeing to.

yes sdove, what you write makes so much sense. the symbolism is very profound. we`re all and nothing at the same time. it is actually quite simple once `we got it`, once we feel it. we have our free will to show the other cheek, and i`d say that is all we do all day long. develop/nurture our relationship, continuously, consciously with/for god.
