In a Sydney newspaper in Australia - there was one very heart breaking report of a woman who had died on her kitchen floor - she had been lying on the floor of her home for so long that only skeletal remains were present when Police finally attended.
For a human being to have their body break down - of all skin and tissue - to be dry and clean and only have the skeleton left suggests many many years had passed.
Her mail had been piling up in the letterbox and her lawns unmown. A reporter who had been permitted entry into the home noted that her dressing table hairbrush and mirror set had been sitting for so long that when an item was picked up there was a clearly identifiable shape left amid the buildup of dust.
Many people live in isolation in an extremely populated world - we don't communicate well and we don't connect with others with any depth or sincerity - it does not surprise me when people die in their homes and no one misses them. What does sadden me is that stories like these ones get repeated and repeated and repeated and we still don't learn - that is what is really sad.
Much Peace...for all the forgotten Souls who die with no one to miss them...
