I certainly don't enjoy the nuisance of telemarketers, but dealing with them is really not that challenging for the most part. When they call, simply say "put me on your do not call list". DON'T say "take me off your list", because they can just add you back on later. A few days of this and you'll probably get radically fewer calls, until they decide to ignore their do not call lists (more frequently?), or take up other sketchy practices.
