Now, Google Transparency Report shows Syrian Internet traffic has resumed levels that are roughly the same as they were before the initial shutdown occurred at 3:35 UTC on Friday (11 p.m. Thursday EDT).
The protesters seem unarmed. And their signs are in Arabic, so they were not made for an external audience. But without any data to help me put the images in context, my understanding of the situation is not much increased.
