"A moderate earthquake has struck a rural area of Northern California known for seismic activity, but authorities have received no reports of damage or injuries.
The United States Geological Service reports that the 4.4-magnitude temblor struck Monday about a mile north of the area known as The Geysers around 6:20 p.m. PST."
