There have been two moderate earthquakes in the Japanese locale, I think we can expect more violent discharges from the Geoplasma volcano's in the area in the next 24-48hrs also. What is unusual is that the first of these quakes lasted 25-30 seconds according to witness reports in the area!

UPDATE 18:54 UTC : EMSC testimony out of Urasoe, 87 km from the epicenter :
Earthquake lasted about 25 – 30 secs …. I was laying in my bed, next to both my daughter and wife who were both asleep. My arm was touching the wall. The bed seemed to shake abruptly, in which I thought my wife was moving on her side of the bed. However, when I looked at her, she was not moving at all. At this point I noticed the light overhead swaying. The strength would have been considered, minimal, and only noticeable to stationary people. With my arm touching the wall, I did not feel the apartment moving (we are on the 3rd floor) and only the bed seemed to shake.
