First Report...
I was attending a friend's birthday party in San Manuel, Arizona, on November 5, 2010, at around 8:20 PM or so, I know this because I texted my mother as it was happening.
My friend and I noticed a multi-colored flashing light above the mountains to the North of town. We called his dad to come out and check out the lights, because we wanted someone else to see it.
As his dad came out, we heard the sound of jets. Then 3 jets appeared from the south/southeast of town.
The lights then began to move toward the west, and as the jets got closer to the lights, the lights just shot off to the west.
We watched as the jets tried to catch it, but to be honest, I didn't think they are going to.
Just to clarify, I am 18 years old, and not a believer in this kind of thing. My dad is a believer, and I always give him grief about it. I won't any more.
He reported the same thing a year ago, or so. So this is not the first time this has happened over San Manuel.
Second Report..
I'm up in the northwest valley of Phoenix, so I never actually saw the UFO that was reported.
But about 10-15 minutes before the reported event I watched 3 fighters about 30 seconds apart in the sky over Luke Air Force Base.
They were all headed south in the Casa Grande / Tucson direction.
It didn't appear to be a drill, all 3 had their afterburners firing (you could distinctly hear all 3 as they took off) until I lost sight of them.
So they appeared to be headed somewhere in a hurry.
Given the direction they were headed and the number of jets described in the report, I'm almost positive these are the 3 fighter planes that were seen chasing down the object in San Manuel.

standard procedure. During 1952 the USAF ordered 300 scrambles with the order shoot them down. However it can be dangerous for the pilots. Jets chasing U.F.O.s are known to have lost their avionics and at least in one case revealed by USAF 2 F4s chasing a U.F.O. disappeared from the radars only to be found days later a few thousand miles from the point at which contact was lost crashed down and the pilots missing.
