President Trump confirmed his administration is "reviewing everything" in the wake of the Minneapolis shooting that left 37-year-old nurse Alex J. Pretti dead.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Trump stopped short of confirming whether the federal agent who fired the fatal shots on Jan. 24 acted appropriately.
"We're looking, we're reviewing everything and will come out with a determination," Trump told the outlet as questions mounted over the incident and the broader immigration operation in the city.
Pretti, an ICU nurse, was shot and killed by a U.S. Border Patrol agent while filming federal officers on a Minneapolis street.
The officer's operation was targeting Jose Huerta-Chuma, an illegal immigrant with a criminal history including domestic assault for intentional conflict bodily harm, disorderly conduct and driving without a valid license.
Federal officials initially claimed Pretti approached agents with a 9 mm handgun and resisted disarmament.
Bystander video and eyewitness accounts circulating online raised questions about that version of events and whether Pretti was threatening officers when he was shot.
"I don't like any shooting. I don't like it," Trump said, adding that Pretti carried "a very powerful, fully loaded gun with two magazines... That doesn't play good either."
Trump also tied the federal presence in Minnesota to what he described as a sprawling welfare-fraud scandal in the state, arguing that immigration enforcement was necessary to address broader abuses.
"It's the biggest fraud anyone has seen," the president said.
The fraud claims in the state have been a central part of the administration's need to ramp up federal operations there.

Renee Good was shot and killed on Jan. 7 by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during a different operation.
That incident fueled protests and spotlighted the role of ICE in domestic law enforcement actions.
"At some point we will leave. We've done, they've done a phenomenal job," Trump said without offering a time frame for when agents might depart.
"We'll leave a different group of people there for the financial fraud," he told the outlet.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has also stressed cooperation among law enforcement as essential.
"Nobody, including President Trump, wants to see people get shot or hurt," Leavitt said, urging officials to work more closely with the administration in addressing undocumented individuals living in the country illegally.

But seriously, if you turn up with a rifle at the site of a police operation to interfere with their actions, what do you expect to happen ?!?!?
In this article we see the same. They are trying to Frame ICE as a military operation to trample AMERICAN liberty. We see the Trump admin Frame it as a cover for the Minnesota rampant fraud of billions of dollars by the Minnesota and Minneapolis governments. The actual riots in other cities will be engineered. How many "believers" of the Frame of Walz and Frey will determine the extent of the riots.
I expect the Insurrection Act to be used by the Trump admin this year because of the midterm elections. The "deep state" has no choice but to create the situation forcing "mail-in" ballots, extended voting window and ballot harvesting, if they are to have a chance of fraudulent manipulation of the election.
Everything you see this year has to be thought of in the context of midterm elections.
And I think the democrats / WEF faction has the weaker hand here. If the Trump administration plays it right, they can crush their enemies.
I suspect they are still in the intelligence gathering phase, watching the communications and movements of certain people to map out the network. This would enter a hot "insurrection act" phase of military suppression only if widespread violent riots are immediately ahead, or actually happen. But then, I expect not only the quasi-communist agitators and agents to be taken out, but more importantly the political conspirators (up to Waltz) arrested and charged. And with a top-down approach in other states if they dare to join in.
If that commections can be layed out up to Obama and the Clintons I don't know. Time will tell ...
And, as mentioned in other threads ... Greenland plays in here as well. With the city of London and the Euro-colonialists wanting to bring down Trump with a civil war, Greenland would have been their preferred supply route to keep the "protests" going. The same way the Brits supplied the confederates in the civil war.
They have to have multi-day voting so they can know how many votes to insert, and they need mail-in ballots and ballot harveting to insert the votes they need. They also need control of the election structure which they have in the major blue cities.
Pretti was armed. Nothing wrong with that. Just a fact
Pretti got physical with the police when they were attempting to arrest a woman
The police dog-piled Pretti
Someone yelled "Gun" and every cop panicked and unloaded on the guy
Situations like this are inevitable due to the high-volatility of the situation. Aggressive police. Aggressive "protesters". Heightened emotions on both sides.
In my opinion, the "protesters" want this kind of situation to happen. They NEED their martyrs to swing public opinion.
Although it seems the DNC/globalist have not realized the lawless times of "mostly peaceful" BLM protests are over. They have to face a strong internal opposition that does NOT want civil war.
Now that being said, the public seems to think that police are super well trained when it comes to firearms and their use... that is not the case. I know people who train law enforcement in firearms and the average officer is pretty bad with their weapon. They're also very jumpy.
Wasn't the smartest nurse in the unit.
