The terror of wolves has once again increased in Bahraich, UP. On Friday evening, wolves killed a 5-year-old innocent child playing outside his house. The child was playing outside his home when two wolves attacked.
They grabbed him in their jaws and dragged him away. Neighbors witnessed with their own eyes the wolves carrying away the child. Hearing the commotion, two dozen villagers chased after the wolves with sticks.
After about half an hour of searching, the child was found in a bloodied condition in a sugarcane field 500 meters away from home. The wolves had eaten both his palms. The left foot's sole was also badly mauled.
He was immediately admitted to CHC, from where he was referred to the district hospital. Late at night, he was referred to Lucknow. He died on the way.
Villagers said - In just the last 10 days, wolves have attacked two innocent children. 10 days ago, a wolf carried away a one-year-old girl 4 kilometers away. The girl has not been found till today.
About 5 children have been attacked in two months.The incident took place in Mallahan Purwa hamlet of Godhiya No. 3 in Kaiserganj police station area, 50 kilometers away from the district headquarters.
On Friday at 4:30 PM, Roshan Kumar's 5-year-old son, Star, was playing right in front of the house. Family women and neighbors were also present there.
Suddenly, two wolves coming from the direction of the field attacked the child. Before anyone could understand anything, one wolf grabbed the child in its jaws and ran towards the sugarcane field.
Family members and villagers chased the wolves with sticks and clubs. Village resident Rajendra Singh, who witnessed the entire incident, says - There were two wolves. The child was playing right in front of the house.
We ran, but by then the wolf had dragged him 500 meters away into a sugarcane field. Upon reaching there, we saw - both his palms were missing. The villagers surrounded the sugarcane field and somehow managed to rescue the child from the wolf. The child was found unconscious and covered in blood.
Star fought for life for 5 hoursAfter the incident, family members immediately took him to the Kaiserganj Community Health Center. After initial treatment there, he was referred to the District Hospital, Bahraich, around 8 PM.
Doctors described his condition as critical and referred him to Lucknow Medical College around 10 PM. While being taken to Lucknow, he passed away on the way around 11:30 PM.

When I raised an alarm, both ran towards the field with the child. Other people also ran after them with sticks. When we made noise and chased the wolves, they left the child in the sugarcane field, and both wolves ran away.
Forest department team on site, drone surveillance DFO's statement Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Ram Singh Yadav said - As soon as information about the wild animal attack was received, a team was sent.
Drone surveillance of surrounding forests and fields is being conducted. Three cages have been set up and combing has been intensified. He appealed to villagers to remain alert and not leave small children alone outside.
Father does farming Grandfather Vijay Kumar said that late at night, while going to Lucknow, our grandson Star died near Fakhpur. The deceased's innocent father, Roshan Kumar, works as a laborer. He had one daughter and two sons.
Among them, the deceased Star was second in line. He has an elder sister. And just a few days ago, a son was born. Upon hearing the news of Star's death, his mother keeps fainting repeatedly. The entire family is in terrible condition, crying continuously.
Two incidents in 10 months, 5 attacks in two months Wolf attacks have occurred in the area before. 10 days ago, a 4-year-old girl was picked up in Godhiya No. 2, 4 kilometers away. Although the forest department encountered the wolf the next day, the girl could not be found till today.
According to villagers, wolf attacks have been happening continuously for the past 2 months. About 5 children have fallen prey in 2 months. People are now afraid to send their children outside their homes. As evening falls, villagers are keeping watch with sticks and clubs.
