- now ain't it ironic in 1967 LBJ authorized the attack upon the Liberty ship and that if "all went according to plan" would have resulted in a nuclear weapon being discharged over Cairo? Can you enlighten me here, perhaps with a link to a source ?
I linked to this elsewhere yesterday via Lew Rockwell's place - but here is the main link:Very plausible, I would say. And ironic that the presence of the "mortal enemy" (the Soviets) had the nazionists panick and not finish their attack. I suppose this means the Soviets (basically Russians) knew what was going on, and would have interpreted a nuclear attack on Cairo as an attack on themselves. And responded proportionally.

Comment: Associated Press adds: Netenyahu's presence would have been an insult to those who, whether half-heartedly or sincerely, are trying to find a solution for the relief of Palestinians, whose suffering is squarely at the feet of the Israeli prime minister and his rabid cabinet.
