An investigation is underway in Miami after a dog attack turned deadly Saturday night, police said.

According to Miami Police, officers arrived in the area of Northwest Eighth Avenue and 67th Street in Liberty City after receiving reports of a man who was attacked by dogs.

Once at the scene, officers found the man, who was pronounced dead.

His identity was not released, but Miami Police said the man appeared to be around 30-40 years old.

It's unclear if the dogs involved in the attack were found.

Neighbors told NBC6 that the dogs that live near them are dangerous.

Magna Garcia lives a few doors down and said the victim lived at the house, which police have not confirmed.

"The victim lives there," she said. "Always saw him putting the garbage out, walking around. He said hi to my husband every single day."

She and other neighbors, like a woman who didn't want to be identified, said they're not surprised by what happened.

They said the dogs at the home have been a big problem and claimed they've chased people who walk nearby and have allegedly attacked other pets.

"I used to tell the kids to go on the other side because when they get ready to walk, the dogs would run after them," said Deborah, a neighbor.

Neighbors say a video from about a month ago also shows several dogs attacking another at the same home.

The investigation is ongoing.
