On the other hand, the competition for global resources shows no sign of ameliorating since the factions in charge of American foreign policy keep pushing a confrontational posture with respect to international relations. We are degenerating into a new American led Cold War that is increasing the risk to our future and could erupt into a hot war with dire consequences for millions of people and devastating consequence for the planetary environment. Two articles published in the British science journal Nature this July underscore the growing dangers confronting us as we move ever closer to a point of no return. A major course correction is urgently needed.
In 2023 Professor Michel Chossudovsky with Global Research correctly wrote:
"At no point since the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945, has humanity been closer to the unthinkable. All the safeguards of the Cold War era, which categorized the nuclear bomb as 'a weapon of last resort', have been scrapped.
"Let us also recall the unspoken history of America's doctrine pertaining to the conduct of nuclear war. Barely six weeks after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the U.S. War Department released a Secret Plan on September 15, 1945 to bomb 66 cities of the Soviet Union with 204 atomic bombs.
The September 1945 Plan was to 'Wipe the Soviet Union off the Map' at a time when the US and the USSR were allies. Confirmed by declassified documents, Hiroshima and Nagasaki served as a 'Dress Rehearsal'.
In a speech given by Vladimir Putin on February 21, 2002, he said the following:
"Let me explain that U.S. strategic planning documents contain the possibility of a so-called preemptive strike against enemy missile systems. And who is the main enemy for the U.S. and NATO? We know that too. It's Russia. In NATO documents, our country is officially and directly declared the main threat to North Atlantic security. And Ukraine will serve as a forward springboard for the strike."In July of 2021 the utterly corrupt Biden administration launched the Nuclear Posture Review, or NPR. In this putrid policy we find that no longer are nuclear weapons to be considered only as a deterrent but is now considered as a viable means of "self-defense" and holds open the possibility of a 'first strike' or pre-emptive nuclear strike against Russia.
Probably the most dangerous aspect of the NPR strategy is the proposal for "increased integration of conventional and nuclear planning." This entails redefining tactical nuclear weapons as conventional weapons that might be deployed pre-emptively on the battlefield.
One might justifiably wonder how the Russians feel about this.
The corruption of the Biden administration was preceded by that of the Obama administration which initiated a $1.3 trillion program of developing a new generation of nuclear weapons by the 2030s. Obama is a tool just like Biden, just like George W. Bush, just like Hillary Clinton, and now, it appears, Donald Trump. Each of them has contributed to the furtherance of the goal of global dominion. None of the empty heads fawning over Obama are aware that along with his green lighting of a new arms race he also oversaw a massive bunker development below the North Lawn of the White House from which the American press has been prohibited from covering.
At a time when international tensions are escalating where are the voices of sanity? They certainly aren't to be found within the deep state political apparatus that has the single-minded goal of global hegemony. And before one assumes that the war planners are not insane enough to plan for or to launch a nuclear war, consider that since 2001 Congress has massively upped the funding for "Continuity of Government" infrastructure that, presumably, will allow the political and military elites to ride out a nuclear war with relatively impunity. Look up Raven Rock, Peters Mountain, NORAD or Mount Weather to get some insight into the billions being spent to ensure the survival of the degenerate political and military elites while the rest of us die.
For nearly half a century of Cold War we avoided a nuclear World War 3 through diplomacy, dialogue and regular communications and summit meetings between American leaders and Soviet and then Russian leaders. Where is diplomacy now? Where are the voices of sanity and reason? Where is the dialogue? When Trump previously tried to engage with Putin he was called "Putin's stooge." He was depicted in political cartoons on his hands and knees while Putin had him on the end of a leash like he was a servile dog. The stupid Left, in their hatred of Trump jumped right into the chorus of denunciations, declaring that any talk whatsoever amounted to 'appeasement' of a brutal dictator, hypocritically ignoring the fact the OUR government has supported dozens of brutal dictators since World War 2, and still does.
But Donald Trump doesn't deserve a pass. Hopefully some good news will come out of the upcoming summit between Trump and Putin this coming Friday in Alaska. There is no doubt that there will be neocon factions trying to sabotage any positive development that might come out of a summit meeting, and no doubt the Left, who are supposed to be antiwar, will be hysterically insulting and condemning of the outcome no matter how it may develop. And, no doubt Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not want to see his gravy train terminated because the American people are getting tired of supporting his corrupt regime, never mind that many Ukrainians are waking up to the fact that they are simply expendable pawns in Washington's pursuit of global hegemony.
Donald Trump came into office on a promise to end the foreign wars, especially this proxy confrontation with Russia in Ukraine. Six months in we are still waiting. Unless he changes his stance, he will have betrayed millions of supporters who voted for him for that reason, people who rightfully believe in America First.
Americans need to set politics aside and send an unambiguous message to Washington that a Third World War is unacceptable and policies that will push our nation closer to that outcome will not be tolerated. No doubt Trump has done, and continues to do, many things deserving of criticism and condemnation. But most of attacks on him from the critics amount to nothing more than distractions and red herrings, focusing on secondary issues, contrived issues that in themselves portend no long-term consequences to the peace and prosperity of America, like Russiagate, or 34 criminal offenses that no one can seem to actually define, or gossip and allegations that seem to have minimal supporting evidence other than accusations from anonymous women. However, all this chatter does seem to be effective in keeping his critics pre-occupied with matters whose significance pales into nothing when compared with the growing potential of a nuclear conflict with Russia and now with China as well.
Millions of Americans need to come to their senses and rise-up to oppose this growing threat. There are other ways, other pathways that don't lead to doomsday. I have been talking about these alternatives for decades and will continue to do so. In this shifting of American consciousness, the Alternative media has a powerful role to play. It is time for the cynics, the 'skeptics,' the pessimists, the naysayers and the misanthropes to stand aside and allow a vision of an authentic future of peace and of freedom to prevail.
Regrettably, the two important articles published in Nature are behind a paywall, but I will unpack them for readers of this Kosmographia Newsletter next month.

This keeps me grounded in what's happening in the world.
We are so wrapped up in their narrative, it keeps us confused.
Knowing that other forces are at play, adds to understand what is really going on.
Good luck with that. The citizenry increasingly sees things in a black and white binary lacking nuance. Especially the totalitarian far-left.
