Officials shuttered I-10 between Rita and Kolb roads and sent out a hazmat alert to people in the area — including students at the University of Arizona.
All personnel at the university's research facility, Science & Tech Park, were forced to evacuate due to the hazardous chemical, according to campus police.
Authorities advised individuals within a one-mile radius of the spill site to shelter in place and turn off any heaters or air conditioning units that filter outside air indoors.
Exposure to nitric acid — a highly corrosive chemical used to create fertilizers, dyes, polymer, explosives and more — can cause immediate eye and skin irritation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Prolonged exposure can lead to delayed pulmonary edema, pneumonitis, bronchitis and dental erosion, the federal agency states.
The nitric acid spill follows a similar disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, where a train carrying toxic chemicals derailed and forced authorities to conduct a controlled burn to prevent a potential explosion.
A cocktail of harmful toxins like volatile vinyl chloride, phosgene and hydrogen chloride, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, ethylhexyl acrylate and isobutylene were released into the air and soil after the fiery Feb. 3 crash.
While residents were quickly evacuated from their homes ahead of the burn, pets and wildlife left behind are dying at unprecedented levels.
Locals there are now worried about potential long-term effects on their own health due to the chemical spill.

If the driver survived the impact of the accident, he very likely died from inhalation of nitric oxide. All the articles downplay the danger. It will burn skin and metal. It's used for metal etching. It will cause blindness and skin blisters.
Destroyed so many businesses the last three years and buying them up for pennies on the dollar.
This year will prove to be one of the most Fd up ever globally.

But that's my thinking now. They are trying to kill us in a million different ways. And if they cause this type of disaster near where I live, then I want a supply of gas masks on hand. Do you have any recommendations (I literally know nothing about this sort of thing). I was thinking of getting some of those gas masks that people where when painting. Do you think that would be enough. This is the sort of thing I'd ask my father (he was a chemical engineer), but the medical mafia killed him last year. I'm sure he would have a lot to say about the Ohio incident.
It seems it would be common sense now to have one.
I do not want to give misinformation and, I am not completely savvy regarding the various filters. I used to wear one that I researched to keep heavy metal vapor from reaching my lungs as I used to blow it around printing with early 19th century processes but that was researched. With things like sarin gas and other cocktails I just am not sure.
We have to do some homework. Also the filters how long can one use them before one has to swap them out.
I was just looking at some military grade masks and they ain’t cheap. That being said maybe that was just the site I fell on. [Link] Maybe the same grade can be found cheaper. Again I like you am not well versed when it comes to gas. Particulates yes but gas? How many nanometers is a gas molecule?
Maybe someone here with military experience will chime in.

Dear, much love and peace. Especially peace in these completely unnecessary insane days. It would be one thing natural disaster but this is contrived and tough not to get angry to the point you do something that may jeopardize ones ability to take care of loved ones if you know what I am saying without saying.
I am staying centered, grounded and I do have a light. Letting go and letting the Father/Mother AKA God for some. I do know this does end and so does the suffering for what it might be worth to you. The distance to that point and what happens before it is anyones guess. I know much loss and heartache. Be the change humanity needs.

I'm still in this horrible state. We want to get out, but can't at this point because my sister has agoraphobia (she has Down Syndrome and is still recovering from being given a benzo). We thought about maybe escaping to WV at some point (the nearest red state, not as brainwashed based on percentage vaxxed), but now it looks like that state might be poisoned from the Ohio disaster. Fwiw, my mother listens to Bill Spadea on the radio, and he's trying to organize people to fight back (kind of by bringing right and left together and agreeing on common sense approaches) and might run for Gov--at this point, I think he's the last hope this state has.
We learned again the importance of staying out of the hospital at all costs.

Not that I’m discounting something deliberate and it’s a good excuse to move people off land temporally and somehow keep them off it in an attempt to move people to higher density areas for better management, I have no idea what better management is, but why not call it population distribution control for future management.
