"We can't leave Taiwan independent," Lu insisted during his interview on Thursday with YouTube channel Livre Noir.
"We'll retake Taiwan by all means, including military ones. If we can't reunify the country by peaceful means, what else are we left to do?" he pointed out, becoming yet another Chinese official to offer such a warning.
The ambassador has blamed the US for stirring tensions around both Taiwan and Ukraine, where Russia's military operation is ongoing.
"The Americans want to start two wars in the world: one in Europe, the other in Asia," he said.
However, Lu rejected any comparisons between China's possible move against Taiwan and Russian actions in Ukraine. "Taiwan is not a sovereign state. It has been an integral part of China since ancient times," he explained.
Beijing has recently increased its maritime and aerial military activity around the island, saying that this was needed to deter "collusion activities" between "Taiwan independence forces" and the US government.
Taiwan has been self-governing since 1949 but has never formally declared its independence from China. So, Beijing considers the island of 23.5 million a part of its own territory under the One-China policy.
While agreeing with the One-China policy on paper, Washington maintains strong unofficial ties with Taipei, selling weapons to the island and backing its push for sovereignty. Beijing has repeatedly decried such contacts as provocations and as meddling in China's internal affairs.
Last month, President Joe Biden promised that the US will stick to its commitment to defend Taiwan if China eventually resorts to the use of force.
Some American officials have also claimed that Beijing was closely monitoring the conflict in Ukraine and drawing conclusions, in preparation for a similar move against Taiwan.

The Chinese will wait until the Ukraine war is over, the weapons the West had shipped there all got destroyed, their stocks are empty and the armies run dry.
This will be autumn. The worst possible moment for the West - empty weapon stocks, sky-high prices, political instabilities, and protests in many countries.
And if the US/Nato engages China on the battle field, they will suffer another crushing defeat.
This follows the Russian approach: indicate what is necessary, a neutral Ukraine, note the bombardment of the Eastern Ukraine by the NAZIs, then preempt the Ukrainian attack on the Donbas by entering and strategically attacking the military positions and communications. China is indicating the change necessary to protect their own borders from the NATO/CIA/USA destablization.
The west has as always opened their filthy mouths too wide. It will get stuffed very soon. Autumn is only three month away.
It is WW3 the west wants. It can have it - the world has woken up and it won't be like WW2 for the 'allies' this time. No cakewalk. No more photo-ops about glorious battles. This time, equilibrium will be re-instated.

Yes, they don't do the "shock-and-awe" thing like the US (actually the German idea of Blitzkrieg) that leaves the enemy army mostly intact. But they could use more than 10% of their troups and stuff, and grind them down faster. But they don't.
And this weekend, watching "The Duran" (https://www.youtube.com/c/TheDuran/videos), it dawned on me - they want to bleed the West dry. Crash their financial system by deflecting their own stupid sanctions, having them expend most of their weapon and ammunition in a hopeless proxy war, and have them enrage their population against their own governments.
I don't know on what level the Chinese cooperate with Russia in this game, but I'm sure they do. And others are fed up with the West as well, and play along.
I can see them winning.
The Russians have the fire power - China has Sun Tzu. It certainly looks like as if the Russians have studied Sun Tzu and understood him very well. Compare that with westpoint and You realize that the west stands NO chance against the Chinese Russian "Double Helix". There was an excellent article by this title almost twenty years ago. It all turned out to be as the author analyzed/predicted.

T he West is doing this mostly to themselves. Like in martial arts, were you use the momentum of a strong but pretentious opponent against him.
I do however sincerely believe that the Western "elite" and political leadership consists mostly of ruthless psychopaths, or spineless sycophants of the former. We are ruled by a bunch of clueless demagogues and sociopath that either cannot fathom what they are doing, or don't care.
