Buffalo_Ken - I wonder if there might be some satellites with a lower to the ground positioning that might be sensitive to this sort of chemical exposure?OK, I'll answer my question. The plume came out with velocity and went 11 miles into the atmosphere (that is high - stratosphere sort of high I think....like 60000 feet high -- higher than Mt. Everest). Anyhow, said plume contains various concentrations of chemicals well above background levels. Said plume with eventually reach a sort of top - like a mushroom if you think with images in your brain - and then from there it will disperse depending on the local parameters. That part is complicated. Regardless, some of it will float even higher, and I suspect there are some satellites down there (in the "lower" atmosphere) that are fixing to break down. Of course, I could be wrong - this is all speculation based upon knowledge of air dispersion modeling - I used the old ISC model in the day. Entered it in using DOS.
We've been led to believe that Earth is actually a safe place in which to live but it is not.
