The incident was filmed as journalists reported on a resident in Tipitapa, Nicaragua, central America, who had been suffering from 'months of strange behaviour.'
They reported how the 43-year-old woman, named as Herminia, had been 'tormented by evil spirits ' for three months that left her aggressive toward people that approached.
She was filmed wild-eyed and behaving bizarrely before throwing a shoe at neighbours who entered her room.
The report by Canal 10 filmed the moment two priests from a nearby Christian performed an exorcism on the woman and begin chanting, 'leave her in peace. leave her in peace, leave her in peace.'
According to the news report, a large toad had been spotted in the woman's house and was thought to have been a bad omen. It said that after several hours of prayer the woman began to appear calmer.

The priests then took the woman to a church to continue their prayers for her. The reporters suggested the residents of the town of San Jorge had been 'dabbling in the occult.'
