The problem here is that even if funny, it implies that these stooges, puppets/muppets, pawns, front men/women etc, are anything other than what they are, which is not national leaders of any kind. Pretenders at best, most of them are a bunch of wanna-bes who know the quickest way to get ahead is learn 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying'.... that play/film captured the same sense of comedy as this article attempts to capture... but in the end, it really isn't funny, but we try to laugh lest we cry or 'rage at the machine'... when the machine isn't really to blame, it's is merely fulfilling its design function.... a design based for existence here in Purgatory... it's function is to help us 'wake up'... it's only a question of how many blows it takes... how many corrupt politicans/pundits/priests, popes and businessmen does it take to make us reach the point of exclaiming: "I'm As Mad As Hell, And I'm Not Going To Take It Anymore!"
Then the question becomes how to channel that anger into something useful, productive for yourself, if not others.
See the Choice, Make the Choice, Empower the Choice... and leave Purgatory behind... as per our own design function.
