Las Vegas police are appealing for information after a man was hospitalised in a hit-and-run attack on a petrol station forecourt

Horrific surveillance footage captured the moment a man was mown down in an apparent road rage attack on a crowded petrol station forecourt.

The shocking footage, released by Las Vegas police in the hope it will help to identify the driver, shows a grey Honda Accord speed up to the victim, only just stopping short of knocking him down.

When the man looks round at the driver, he speeds off, apparently dragging the victim under the car.

The victim, who hasn't been named by police, is left writhing on the floor of the forecourt, holding his legs.

Police say the attack followed a near miss minutes earlier, when the victim had to swerve to avoid crashing into the Accord as it suddenly pulled out in front of him.

The suspect was described by police as a white male in his 30s with medium build.

He was wearing a grey hoodie at the time of the incident.
