The Israeli regime says its warplanes have bombed a target in southern Lebanon in retaliation for Thursday's rocket attack.

Israeli military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner announced that the regime's warplanes launched an airstrike on an area near Na'ameh, between Beirut and Sidon, south of Lebanon, during the early hours of Friday.

The Israeli official did not provide further details about the airstrike.

Meanwhile, the Lebanon-based Popular Front of Palestine said the Israeli attack targeted its base. The Palestinian group said the airstrike left no casualties.

Comment: This is the common practice: First a self-inflicted wound in the form of a rocket attack that lands in empty fields causing no injuries, which is then followed by a "justified" revenge attack to which the international community is silent because: "Israel has the right to defend itself". See the pattern?

False Flag Alert: Rockets from Lebanon fired at northern Israel, no casualties

On Thursday, three Katyusha rockets fired from southern Lebanon reportedly landed near Israel's northern city of Nahariya. The Israeli police said the rockets landed in an open area and caused no serious damage or casualties.

Israeli media reported that one of the rockets was intercepted by the "Iron Dome" missile system.

According to reports, the attack drove Tel Aviv into a state of confusion with maximum alert.

Lebanese media said the rockets were fired from the village of Housh in the city of Tyre.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also vowed that Tel Aviv would carry out retaliatory attacks.
