The steady rain for much of the day made driving a miserable task for North Texans today.

"Yeah, going kind of slow, trying to be safe," said Driver Eddie Rocha.

"I think it's ridiculous. I want to expect the sun out, not rain. It makes us drive slower to work, from work and to work," said Dallas Resident Maribel Jaramillo.

It's no surprise the slick conditions caused of few wrecks. "Maybe I slipped," said Driver Carlos Nolasco.

Nolasco crashed his car along I-635 this afternoon. He says he lost control on the wet roads before he knew it.

" I pushed the breaks and got back to the other way and got to the wall and turned around," he said.

In Collin County, flooding issues forced officials to close off six county roads. The same was done in Dallas near part of White Rock Creek.

Along Northwest Highway, you could see that White Rock Creek was starting to overflow. In area near the ditch, the water was starting to get really high.

But despite the rising waters around the metroplex, some North Texans told us they didn't mind the damp day.

"I love it. I love it," said Driver Sury Sacker.

Turns out for some a good steady rain, is just a good excuse to stay in doors and make the most of it.

"It's just cozy and relaxing day. It's a good day," said Sacker.
