No disrespect to the good Brigadier General, but -most- missiles are supersonic. The only ones I know of in the US arsenal that -aren't-, in fact, are cruise missiles...hence the name. Someone got hit up by a really good salesman. IMHO, the only reason this is being published at all is to cause fear and anti-Iranian sentiment, because a lot of folks don't have the information, and may actually believe that a supersonic missile, simply by being supersonic, is immune to interception.
