Date of Sighting: 28th August 2009

Witness Statement: My father was standing on the balcony of our flat enjoying a cigarette and called me over pointing towards a large object in the sky that was spherical in shape and extremely bright (red). As we watched it hover for several minutes I told him that I had seen the same object a few weeks before and watched it for several minutes before it vanished totally into thin air. This time the object hovered before flying in a very controlled manner from right to left, disappeared downwards behind some buildings in the distance and then appeared again on the right side before going down once more. It did not rise again after that.

I looked at the night sky for half an hour after the sighting, waiting to see anything else, but unfortunately it didn't re-appear.
