Yellowy-orange orbs were spotted in the sky above Bury St Edmunds on Saturday evening by a resident, who called the Bury Free Press to report the UFOs.

Frank Ayling, of Sherborne Road, on the Horringer Court estate, said he and his wife saw the objects in a south-easterly direction at about 10.50pm.

"There were three together, then two together, then another two single orbs," he said.

"They went in the general direction of the Abbey Gardens. There was no sound at all and they were moving at quite a fair speed.

"They were just like great big round balls and all the same size."

He said from spotting the first three orbs - which were in formation - to the last two orbs flying out of sight took about 10 minutes.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said there were no other reports of flying objects in Sherborne Road or that part of town on Saturday evening, however a resident of Maulkin Close, on the Moreton Hall estate, did contact the police to say they had seen something in the sky which 'was on fire' at 8.30pm on Saturday.
