A Wragby woman has said she saw the same UFO that featured in a report on last week's front page.

Andrea Ward, one of our village correspondents, said she saw the same UFO revealed in a secret MOD file published for the first time on May 14 by the National Archives.

Mrs Ward was living in Huttoft at the time, December 1980, and was driving home from Nottingham with her family.

They spotted the UFO near Coningsby and said it followed them all the way to the outskirts of Sutton on Sea before it vanished.

Mrs Ward said it looked like a very bright search light and at first they thought it was a helicopter.

She said they stopped and it stopped to their right over a field but when they wound down the windows there wasn't a sound.

Mrs Ward said: "It started off as a joke but as it followed us towards Sutton on Sea it really was scary.

"My little boy was in the car and he was terrified.

"It was the silence. We stopped and there wasn't a sound. That's what was really scary."

As reported last week, the MOD files gave details of a sighting by a woman driving from Tetford to Scamblesby in December 1980.

She described it as a bright light from a globe-like object.

Another sighting from the same month came from an officer working in an air traffic control tower at RAF Coningsby.

A man who used to work at RAF Coningsby, who asked not to be named, said he dealt with UFO reports while working for the MOD in London.

He said all reports were investigated and they all had explanations.

He said a lot of sightings are the effects of lights in space and reactions in the atmosphere to weather events.

There were a few isolated incidents which in most cases were people on the way home from the pub.

John Viner emailed us with this comment: "Around 1986 three of us viewed a trio of orange lights.

"We watched from Sutterton as they hovered over Fosdyke for a period of around 15 minutes and then dissappeared."
