What the transgender movement is doing to children

transgender issue
Some sane voices still attempt to be heard above the din. Michelle Cretella, for example, recently penned a fascinating and insightful column titled "I'm a Pediatrician. Here's What I Did When a Little Boy Patient Said He Was a Girl." The whole thing is worth reading, but especially this bit:

Human foot washes ashore on British Columbia beach

A gruesome discovery on the shores of British Columbia: a severed human foot. Even more shocking, it isn't the first foot to be found in the area. In fact, it is the 13th detached foot discovered there since 2007.

Over the last decade, many of the feet washed ashore, one by one. Often they would be discovered on the beach, still wearing running shoes. The bizarre incidents have attracted tourists and amateur sleuths to the area. Some come hoping to find human remains.

The 13th foot was discovered on Thursday, not far from Sooke. Mike Jones was walking his Rottweiler when the dog found the body part, according to the New York Times.

Then, Jones took the foot, a tibia, and fibula and a human left foot inside a running shoe home.

"In this case, someone out walking their dog[s] took the bones home. Certainly no ill intent there, but if people do see something like that in the future, call us before touching the remains," Andy Watson, from the British Columbia Coroners Service, told CBC News.

Chicago woman who lived streamed beating of disabled Trump supporter given 4 years probation

chicago arrestees
One four Chicago area adults arrested for the brutal racially motivated hate crime beating of a disabled teenage Trump supporter this past January has been given a sentence of four years probation.

Brittany Covington has been in custody since January, after she and three of her accomplices filmed themselves hurling racial slurs, saying "f*ck Donald Trump, and physically abusing an 18-year-old man with mental disabilities.

Christine covered the story when it first broke:
"The video, which was posted on Facebook on Tuesday using the social network's "Live" feature, was taken by a woman who appeared to be in her teens or early 20s and featured a group beating a man who was bound and gagged. At one point in the video, the victim is slapped repeatedly and is seen bleeding from his scalp.

Throughout the video, people can be heard saying "F*** Donald Trump" and "F*** white people," among other things. At one point, the woman taking the video laughs at how her sister had commented telling her to stop beating the man.

FOX 32 Chicago shared a short clip of the stream to their Facebook page. The full video, which will not be shared here, was posted on Reddit and YouTube."

California Gov Jerry Brown criticizes Trump for climate change position as fires rage

California is reeling from its most destructive wildfire season ever, exacerbated Governor Jerry Brown says, by the effects of climate change. Brown says the fires show President Trump is making a mistake by ignoring the facts of global warming. Governor Brown speaks to Bill Whitaker for a report to be broadcast on 60 Minutes, Sunday, Dec. 10, at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT.

Brown told Whitaker that President Trump is wrong to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement and misguided for calling it a bad deal for America. "That's a preposterous idea, not even a shred of truth in that statement," Brown said. "I don't think President Trump has a fear of the Lord, the fear of the wrath of God, which leads one to more humility... and this is such a reckless disregard for the truth and for the existential consequences that can be unleashed."

Brown has pushed California to take aggressive measures to reduce its emissions. "We have a cap and trade system, which is a very efficient way to reducing greenhouse gases. We have zero-emission vehicle mandate. We have efficiency standards for our buildings, for our appliances. California is showing that dealing with climate is good for the economy, not bad," says Brown.

Comment: Apparently the president is a convenient sticker face for horrific and destructive ecological events. Perhaps the origins of the fires would be more appropriate target of angst and finger pointing. Another million acres of solar panels would not have stopped the unleashing and subsequent progression of natural phenomenon, no matter what mankind has to say or to what accord is currently worshipped. That Brown has used the fires as an excuse to lash out at Trump and promote his 'model for the country' is despicable.

Explaining Jerusalem, from one who lived there

Jerusalemstreet
© Israel and ShefaTours
I lived in Jerusalem for four years in a flat with a fine view of the Mount of Olives, which will supposedly split apart on Judgement Day and the dead in the vast cemetery on its slopes will rise again. I found parts of the city like the Dome of the Rock exquisitely beautiful but overall it was a city filled with hatred.

One day a nurse was knifed to death at the bottom of Elisha Street where I was living. Several times there were bombs on buses or in markets on Jaffa Road, which lay a couple of hundred yards in the other direction. The violence ebbed and flowed, never as great as many other cities in the Middle East, but never entirely absent.

Three religions

There was always a contrast between Jerusalem as a small shabby city and its status as a great symbolic centre for three religions. It seemed to be dwarfed by its history.

The main friction was between Jews and Muslims, but also within communities as the ultra-orthodox Jews grew in number and secular Jews moved to cities on the coast. Hopes of a compromise peace were at their height after the Oslo Accords were signed in 1993, but were always undermined by the disparity in strength between the two sides.

Israel simply had no reason to compromise to a sufficient degree to satisfy the Palestinians, unless it was put under great and sustained pressure by the US - and this was never likely to happen.

Russian aircraft and troops arrive home after 'Mission Accomplished' in Syria

The majority of Russian forces operating in Syria, including Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and the Beriev A-50 AWACS plane, are arriving back home after successfully completing their mission and playing a key role in defeating Islamic State.

On Tuesday, the first group of Russian military aircraft and troops left Syria following President Vladimir Putin's order. The Russian leader announced the withdrawal of a "significant part" of the Russian military contingent during his surprise visit at Khmeimim Airbase in Syria's Latakia province on Monday morning.

A Russian military police battalion of the Southern Military District arrived aboard two cargo aircraft in the city of Makhachkala, in the North Caucasus Republic of Dagestan, the Defense Ministry said.

The ministry published a video showing the departure of the warplanes at dawn; followed by military, relatives and officials greeting the officers as they landed in Russia. The military police battalion was deployed to Syria in December 2016 to maintain security in de-escalation zones. The officers escorted more than 1,700 humanitarian convoys and ensured civilians' security during humanitarian efforts.

UK think-tank research finds 84% of UK 'grooming gang' members are ethnic Asian (but don't mention the elite pedo networks)

A think tank has claimed that 84 per cent of people convicted of child grooming-gang offences since 2005 were Asian.

In a new study, Quilliam says its researchers discovered differences in the way paedophiles from different backgrounds operated.

It said white offenders often acted alone, while child abusers from Asian backgrounds were more likely to work in so-called grooming gangs.

The organisation, which usually focuses on counter-extremism, said it found 222 of 264, or 84 per cent, of people convicted of specific grooming-gang crimes in the UK since 2005 were Asian.

The report's co-author, Haras Rafiq, is from Rochdale, where 19 British-Pakistani men were jailed between 2012 and 2015 after a grooming ring thought to have abused at least 47 girls was uncovered.

Comment: It's not PC, of course. But facts aren't PC - ideologues are. And the fact is that despite the "non-racist" belief that all crimes are (or at least should be) equally distributed among all racial groups, it just isn't the case. Different ethnic groups tend to have niche markets when it comes to crime. See:

But note the stats here. Asian/Pakistani Brits are much more likely to engage in grooming-gang crime. This type of grooming tends to be of the "Type 1" sort, where children are targeted because they are easy targets: vulnerable, "low-risk" victims - typical psychopathic targeting. But of the "Type 1" crimes, which involve pedophile rings, the perps are 100% white. Case in point: the elite pedophile networks that go to the top of the British power structure:

Unhinged left-wing Buzzfeed editor slams Gateway Pundit coverage of NYC Islamist terror attack

Buzzfeed's Deputy Global News Editor Ryan Broderick attacked The Gateway Pundit for accurately reporting on the Islamist terror attack in New York City Monday morning. The bomb exploded prematurely, wounding the bomber, an ISIS-inspired immigrant from Bangladesh, and three victims.

Within minutes of reports of the explosion at the Port Authority bus terminal near Times Square around 7:30 a.m. EST, Broderick was tracking and posting the reaction by "the far right." Broderick painted his reports in conspiratorial tones with the statement, "The far-right is beginning to activate over the reports of an explosion in NYC."

Sabotage? Huge explosion in Austria knocks out major distribution hub for Russian gas in Europe - 1 dead, 18 injured

One person has been killed and 18 injured in an explosion at Austria's main gas pipeline hub, according to police. Fire engines, ambulances and a rescue helicopter have reportedly been deployed to the area, and all work has been halted at the site.

"Eighteen people are injured and one is dead," police chief Markus Haindl said, as quoted by Sputnik. He added that "technical problems" caused the explosion, and that there was "no indication of terrorism."

Several media outlets previously put the number of people injured at around 60.

Gas Connect Austria, which works in partnership with OMV Group, has stated that one person is missing and 12 others injured, while Austrian police have denied that anyone was killed in the blast.

Comment: Latest is that 1 is confirmed dead and 18 were injured.

This could just be an accident. Or it could be something else.

Fake News: National Geographic's viral polar bear video isn't what it seems

The viral video showing an emaciated and starving bear desperately searching for food has garnered massive attention around the world, but in the six days since its publication serious doubts have emerged among the scientific and indigenous communities.

Nunavut polar bear monitor Leo Ikakhik has been surveying the animal populations on the western shore of the Hudson Bay, Canada in the periphery of the Arviat community, for the last seven years, collaborating with organizations such as the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF). His work involves harm reduction and conservation efforts; essentially limiting human contact with the polar bears.

"I wasn't totally surprised. These things happen," Ikakhik told CBC Radio. "Mother Nature is going to do part of that. You know, it's just part of the cycle. Everybody probably was shocked to see a really skinny bear, but this is not my first time seeing something like this."

The viral video, which shows a beleaguered and emaciated bear desperately searching for food in an abandoned fishing camp on Somerset Island, has been viewed more than 1.4 million times on Instagram in the six days since it was uploaded, and stolen headlines and hearts across the world.
