Six new accusers of Sean "Diddy" Combs have filed lawsuits against the music mogul, alleging rape, sexual abuse and sexual assault.

Two Jane Does and four John Does filed civil lawsuits against Combs, 54, in New York on Monday, marking the first accusers of 120 alleged victims with claims against Combs, which Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee announced earlier this month.

The cases include alleged incidents from 1995 through 2021, including the alleged sexual assault of a minor and multiple allegations of rape. Several of the assaults are alleged to have occurred at the infamous parties that Combs became known for throughout his three decades in the music industry.

The lawsuits name Combs' various businesses as defendants. One of the men, who accuses Combs of sexually assaulting him in a Macy's in 2008, lists the department store as a defendant, and one of the women, who says Combs raped her in a hotel, lists Marriott as a defendant. USA TODAY reached out to Macy's, Marriott and Combs' reps for comment.

Illinois bill would give colleges taxpayer dollars for each minority student enrolled

dei cash
A bill currently being considered in the Illinois legislature would grant public colleges and universities thousands of taxpayer dollars for every student they admit who belongs to certain minority groups.

Democratic Illinois Senate Majority Leader Kimberly Lightford introduced the legislation, S.B. 3965, on July 30. State Representative Carol Ammons, also a Democrat, introduced the bill in the House.

The bill would grant public institutions of higher education $6,000 per each black or American Indian student they accept, $4,000 per Hispanic student, and $0 for white and Asian students, according to a Washington Examiner op-ed by Mike Gonzalez, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation.

Gonazlez pointed out that the quantity provided per Hispanic student is lower than that given for black students, even though Hispanic Illinoisans' degree attainment rate is lower.

Police find body of slain mom stuffed inside suitcase in Seattle homeless camp — one year after she went missing

Cops clearing out a homeless camp in Seattle made a grizzly discovery: the body of a missing woman who may have been murdered before being stuffed in a suitcase.

Shannon Reeder, 37, a mother who lived in the area, had gone missing in November, 2023, and pals tried to find her but had no luck, according to a close friend.

"We tried on Facebook, we tried on her cell phones," longtime friend Caitlyn Andrews told Fox 13 Seattle.

Then, almost a year later, officers were hauling away tents and trash from a cluster of homeless encampments when they uncovered a "large suitcase" containing Reeder's remains.

Comment: Let's thank the liberal politicians and Soros-funded DAs who have allowed cities like Seattle to turn into literal dystopian nightmares.

Crumbling infrastructure: Wisconsin dams are failing more frequently, a new report finds

Wisconsin is seeing more frequent dam failures in another sign that the storms blowing through the state are growing stronger.

Wisconsin recorded 34 dam failures from 2000 through 2023, the second-highest total for that period behind only South Carolina, the Wisconsin Policy Form said in a report released Thursday. More than 80% of the failures — 28, to be exact — happened since the start of 2018, and 18 of those happened since the start of 2020. None of the failures resulted in human deaths, the report found.

The state is home to more than 4,000 dams. Some are massive hydroelectric constructs while others are small earthen dams that create farm ponds. They're owned by a mix of companies, individuals, government and tribal entities, and utilities.

US emergency workers 'hunted by militia' - WaPo

A federal agency reportedly briefly pulled its personnel out of a county in North Carolina last week.

Federal employees responding to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Rutherford County, North Carolina, were threatened last week by militias and had to temporarily pull out, the Washington Post reported on Sunday.

An email sent on Saturday by an official with the US Forest Service, which assists the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), advised federal responders to "stand down and evacuate the county immediately," the newspaper said. The warning came after members of the National Guard claimed to have come across what they called "trucks of armed militia saying there [sic they] were out hunting FEMA."

Comment: There is more truth to 'the lack of FEMA assistance' than The Washington Post is programed to print - unless standing around and glaring counts as response. FEMA's priority list? Leaving was #2. Securing the lithium mine was #1.

Melania Trump claims son Barron was denied new bank account over Jan. 6

Former President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron Trump, was denied a new bank account because of a political "cancel mob," his mother, Melania, claimed of "serious concerns about civil rights violations."

The former first lady said her son, who is now 18, was told he couldn't open the account at her preferred financial institution in the weeks following the Trumps leaving the White House in early 2021.

"I was shocked and dismayed to learn that my long-time bank decided to terminate my account and deny my son the opportunity to open a new one," Melania wrote in her new memoir, Melania.

Robo vacuum cleaners turn racist after hack attack

Owners of robotic vacuum cleaners in several US cities have reported their devices being hacked, causing the appliances to shout out obscenities, according to an ABC News report on Thursday.

A Minnesota lawyer named Daniel Swenson told the outlet that he was watching TV when his Chinese-made Ecovacs Deebot X2 started to malfunction. He said the noise coming from the robot - also known as a 'roomba' - initially sounded like a broken-up radio signal, with brief snippets of what sounded like a voice.

After seeing that a stranger had connected to the robot and was accessing its remote control feature, Swenson said he dismissed it as a glitch and rebooted the vacuum cleaner. However, shortly afterwards, it started moving again, and this time yelled racist obscenities through the speaker, saying "f* n***s" over and over again.

"I got the impression it was a kid, maybe a teenager [speaking]," Swenson told the outlet, suggesting that "maybe they were just jumping from device to device, messing with families."

Scotland's first foreign minister and outspoken critic of UK war crimes, Alex Salmond, dies at 69

Alex Salmond
© PA MediaAlex Salmond led his party from the political fringe to power at Holyrood
Alex Salmond was a man and a politician of extreme contradictions.

A one-time radical firebrand, he moved his party from the political margins and perpetual opposition to government and the mainstream of Scottish public life.

He was a gambler and divider of opinions who became a rock-steady first minister with a mission to show voters that he could govern for all, using devolution to prove independence was nothing to be frightened of.

And he was a powerful communicator who would see his reputation diminished amid allegations of sexual misconduct, a criminal trial and exile from the SNP.

Comment: Despite being thrown out of the SNP, Salmond eventually won his fight with the Scottish government over the spurious accusations of sexual misconduct. Such are the dirty deeds of a government hellbent on war when faced with a politician who dares to stand up against them.

His death at the age of 69 brings to an end a remarkable life and political career and an important chapter in the story of the independence movement.
