A vicious pit bull attacked a 1-year-old boy on a crowded Manhattan street and refused to let go — leaving the baby with a "hole" in his leg, shocking video shows.

A woman — who appears to be the boy's mom — pleaded for onlookers to call 911 while she tried to pull the bloodthirsty dog off the child outside the Santander Bank in Union Square around 11:10 a.m. Sunday, according to the sickening footage and cops.

Several good Samaritans attempted to rip the black and white dog off the boy's left leg, with one repeatedly kicking the animal while another man put it in a headlock on East 13th Street and Broadway.

The dog owner yanked on the pit bull's leash, as the woman desperately cried out.

"Call the police. Someone pull him off! Someone please," the woman pleaded.

The dog — a 2-year-old named Disco Bubba, according to police sources — eventually let go after a man grabbed the canine's private parts from behind.

"Brother, that's crazy," a man filming the horrific attack is heard saying.

"Oh my God. There is a hole in his f - king leg, bro. There is a hole in that boy's leg."

The dog owner calmly walked off with the pooch and waited at a bus stop, as onlookers appeared to call the NYPD.

The baby's father told cops that he was picking up his son, when the boy's leg swung in front of the pit bull's mouth, prompting the dog to bite it, according to the sources.

His wife, the child's mom, rode along as medics rushed the boy — who was left with multiple leg lacerations — to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

Cops said the dog owner is not facing criminal charges.

The boy's uncle said the family would try other avenues to have the dog euthanized.

The child "had to get stitches, a lot of stitches."

"It's walking around, that's dangerous," he said of the dog.

The owner has posted several photos of the dog on Instagram in recent years, calling him his "best friend."

"Big Disco aka world's best watch dog," he boasted in August.

"They ain't lying when they say man's best friend!" he wrote in another post.

"They are our best friend for a little portion of our life, we are their best friend for their entire life."
