The heavy rain that flushed Bogor Regency, West Java, on Saturday, August 9 evening until evening triggered flooding in three sub-districts and caused trees to fall in the Cigombong area. This extreme weather is also accompanied by strong winds and landslides in several locations.

The staff of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Bogor Regency BPBD, Jalaludin, said that his party immediately dispatched a team to the affected locations to evacuate.

"There are several locations for landslides, floods, and wind rain. Floods in Bojonggede and Kemang," he said Jalaludin, Sunday, August 10.

The Bogor flood this time was recorded as hitting Cibinong District, Bojonggede District, and Kemang District.

Dozens of houses in Sarimulya Village, RT 04/08, Cibinong Village, were submerged in water. Then, puddles hit Kampung Kemang, Kemang Village.

Meanwhile, the worst flooding occurred in front of Bojonggede Station, submerging main access to Citayam and Depok.

On Jalan Bojonggede, floods occur with varying depths. Some are 50 centimeters to 1 meter, "added Jalaludin.

This condition interferes with traffic and breaks the access of residents who usually move to the surrounding area.

In addition to flooding, heavy rains also uprooted trees in Cigombong and Cibinong. In Cibinong, landslides were reported to have occurred in the Nanggewer area. The Bogor Regency BPBD has sent a SAR team to help evacuate affected residents.

"For landslides, it occurred in Nanggewer, Cibinong, and rain in Cigombong," explained Jalaludin.

BPBD appealed to residents to remain vigilant considering the potential for heavy rain is still high in the Bogor area in the next few days.
