A bright, presumably bolide, flew over the Chelyabinsk region on Friday night, and local residents saw it.

A video by local resident Dmitry Moskin on the social network VKontakte shows the sky being lit up by a bright flash for a few seconds, after which a fireball appears. A second later, it burns up.

A meteorite fell in the Chelyabinsk region on February 15, 2013, and a fragment weighing about 600 kilograms was lifted from Lake Chebarkul. It is currently kept in a museum.

There were no human casualties, but more than 1,600 people were injured, 52 of whom were hospitalized.
