Around fifteen cars were swept away by the waters this Wednesday after the ravine overflowed in the town of Alcalá del Júcar (Albacete).

According to sources from Europa Press, Castilla-La Mancha emergency service 112. At that time it was not raining in the city, but "it had rained higher up", when a flood of water crossed the city, overflowing the ravine.

Together with the mayor of the town, Juan Pascual Muñoz Legidos, the provincial president toured the affected areas, describing the scene they encountered along the way as "catastrophic." Cabañero said that "these are complicated times" and that "we are in the midst of quantifying the damage, working intensively to help the population in every way possible," with the intervention of different services of the Albacete Provincial Council.

At first glance, the effects of the flood are significant, with numerous landslides, fallen trees and multiple damages, both to municipal infrastructure and public resources as well as to private properties and areas.
