A US Senate hearing on emergency aid requests to back Israel and Ukraine in their conflicts with Hamas and Russia, respectively, has been repeatedly disrupted by protestors demanding that President Joe Biden's administration press for a ceasefire in Gaza.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken had to pause his testimony during Tuesday's hearing several times as protestors screamed, chanted, held up signs, and were eventually removed by security officers. In one case, a man yelled at Blinken to "stop supporting the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the people of Palestine."
Each time he was interrupted, Blinken stopped speaking and blankly stared straight forward, without reacting to the demonstrators. He testified in support of Biden's request for Congress to approve $106 billion in emergency security funding, including $14.3 billion for Israel and $61.4 billion for Ukraine.
At one point, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray reacted to the disruptions by saying, "I do recognize that people feel very passionately, but I ask that we have order in this hearing room and respect our speakers. We will move forward with the hearing and allow people here and the American people to hear from their witnesses."
One woman was pulled from the room as she held up a sign demanding "no more money for Israel" and saying the senators should be ashamed for failing to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. "The world is calling for a ceasefire," she yelled. "The American people don't want to support this brutal war."
As she stood and screamed, other demonstrators held up their hands, showing red paint on their palms and the words "Free Gaza" written on their arms. Multiple protestors later stood up, holding signs and chanting, "From Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go."
The disruptions came as protestors around the world and observers, ranging from Pope Francis to Amnesty International, have called for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ruled out the possibility of pausing his country's incursion in Gaza, telling reporters on Monday that "calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism, to surrender to barbarism. That will not happen."
Netanyahu said Hamas started the war with its terrorist attacks on October 7, and Israel intends to win it. "Today, we draw a line between the forces of civilization and the forces of barbarism," he added. "It is a time for everyone to decide where they stand. Israel will stand against the forces of barbarism until victory. I hope and pray that civilized nations everywhere will back this fight."
More than 8,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis have been killed since the latest escalation in Gaza began. Proponents of a ceasefire have cited high civilian casualties. At the same time, family members of some of the hostages kidnapped by Hamas have argued that pausing the fighting would allow more time to negotiate their release. Netanyahu responded that only Israel's ground offensive in Gaza creates the possibility of saving the hostages because Hamas won't give them up unless it faces fierce pressure.
The Biden administration, for its part, reiterated its opposition to a ceasefire on Monday. "We do not believe that a ceasefire is the right answer right now," White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters.

Hamas security forces in the Gaza Strip have arrested local peace campaigners for treason after they held a Zoom virtual conference with Israeli activists.
Eyad al-Bozom, a spokesperson from the Hamas-run interior ministry, said the prominent Palestinian figure Rami Aman and others had been detained on charges of “establishing normalisation activities with the Israeli occupation via the internet”.“Any activity or communication with the Israeli occupation under any cover is a crime punishable by law, and a betrayal of our people and their sacrifices,” Bozom said.

Rami Aman knows what it's like to stand up to Hamas, while living under its rule in Gaza, and to seek peace with Israeli civilians: doing so got him tortured and pushed into exile.
No one will "make any kind of revolution against Hamas under the Israeli missile," Aman told Insider in an interview. It will have the opposite effect. "They are creating more Hamas, more Hamas, more Hamas," he said — an entire new "generation" of people radicalized by Israeli bombardment and the propaganda of armed extremists claiming to defend them.

What is the intent? The globalists need the "war narrative" to escalate and involve more countries. They need conflict within the USA to enable martial law and attacking/incarcerating selected MAGA supporters. They need confusion and chaos to cover the narratives that are failing: the plandemic, the Maui fire, Child sex trafficking, the open borders, the failing economy, etc.
From that point of view, protestors, as with Jan6, can be agents of the FBI, CIA , antifa, or BLM because it promotes conflict with the USA. That is a question.
War - give up rights, pay more money.
Pandemic - give up rights, pay more money.
Climate emergency - give up rights, pay more money.
Terrorism - give up rights, pay more money.
Notice a pattern here?
From the standpoint of sending a message to be delivered - I thought the actions taken by those offended by the hearing were magnificent and brilliant.
Doesn't mean I agree with "Code Pink" on everything, but just like those few rogue representatives have made big changes in the house, so can a few well placed protests with a plan in advance.
I'm curious how they were granted entry to the hearing - can anybody and their brother go to one of those as long as they be citizen? Imagine if in ALL the effing most boring - probably rarely attended - hearings there were protestors who metaphorically had blood on their hands...
Does one have to wait in line? Probably not, but I'm sure everybody granted access is searched for any tools of direct harm....but can they probe your mind or refuse entry being your sentiment. They can't probe anybody's mind when waiting in line, and if they refuse entry based on sentiment - well that would be even more telling that it already is.....I don't give a flip if it is staged or not - if it resonates, then it resonates.
How rigorous are the searches they do for anybody granted access to those halls where the effing bloody gubment does its dirty deeds and most truly has SO MUCH BLOOD in its hand.
Eff the gubment - what good have they done for you out of dc lately I query...
So - I give a round of applause to Code Pink on this one - and the 2nd lady she screamed that she was Colonel as they escorted her out (they must have planned in advance and given council regarding the best way to let yourself be escorted out)....my father in law is full bird as well and my daddy was a Commander.
I want the effing fleets to come home.
A little edit:
How rigorous are the searches they do for anybody granted access to those halls
where the effing bloody gubment
does its dirty deeds
SO MUCH BLOOD on and in its hand(s).
Both of em
uniparty subserviant seems to be
to the zigaboos...evident beyond a doubt if escalation happens...
oh well - live and learn.

The action of speaking up during the hearing the way it was done resonated with me....that is all. I'm still curious how they got in there as group - I mean everybody must of sensed already what was coming...but the show must go on?
I don't really disagree about the futility of so many of the organization out there who are all talk and no action.
Regards,
BK
That ain't what I call a diplomat - that is an imposter.
Making it even worse is how lost they are in 20th century delusions.....it is as if they think they can't lose.
Oh boy....wonder how pissed everyone is gonna be when they realize not only is the jab a bioweapon, but the *kraine been getting its ass kicked from the get go of the SMO?
I mean how many lies does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Then when the peasants are so pissed being babies are dying - well then - that is the time blinking idjits get hung both metaphoric and in body for eff sake.
No one that actually represents a threat to the plans of the oligarchy that runs our country would have been allowed in there. It was theatre. They don’t care what we talk about as long as it doesn’t threaten their plans. The “Bloody Hands” protest is just as useless and accomplished the same ends as those kids who glue their hands to walls and floors to protest the use of oil. But, what Code Pink did accomplish with their “protest” is secure more funding for their continued existence.
No offense meant to you at all - I concur with most of what you type no doubt, but I thought the protest was brilliant .
I applaud it cause I agree with the sentiment - cease fire for fuck sake - bring the fleets home before they get sunk is what I think.
Hells-Bells - the scrap metal value is considerable and I'm sure the ships still have 20th century value. BUT the potential COST to all of us of them being there sitting ducks is considerable and incalculable. Its a no-brainer decision if there was leadership in dc, and therein lies the quandary and the conclusion - dc is subservient to the zigaboos and that ain't fair and we know.

So to conclude, I hope you can deduce that I think the message is what is important whomever delivers it.
Started seeing YT adverts today for a film called "One Life" ... in cinemas for 1st Jan Apparently the film was premiered at the Toronto festival in Sept 2023, so maybe it's unfortunate timing but I couldn't help feel that this is a cynical attempt to manipulate our emotions and certainly question why they would start advertising it now
